retire Bruce

Dunno why he can't just go off and enjoy his retirement with his lovely wife? He can't need the money

Johnny, he's been in showbusiness for how long? Why should he retire if he's still enjoying it? However, after his strop tonight, I think it's time he stopped presenting because that little outburst put a dampener on the end of a great final.

Yeah that's cool let him still do stuff but not live TV he seems to get very uptight these days! He spoilt Strictly's most tense final ever, he looked unprofessional tonight by trying to be professional and that's not on for its viewers or the BBC's most highest rated entertainment show.

Yeah another Thread to bash Bruce .
Granted I can see why he can be annoying but arent you tired of these threads ?
There is already a similar one. Its clear that he is there to stay for a while some of you can either choose to accept it or simply dont watch the show or mute it whenever he starts to speak.
Tired of these kind of threads !

Why should I mute my favourite TV show? Why should I have to watch it on catch up and not live? Why can't I watch it all, he's unprofessional

I've always defended his right to present this show, but i admit now that it's time.

Because clearly many of us are not enjoying it.

Be as mad as you want, doesn't detract from Bruce's appalling behaviour nor does it matter how many threads are started this evening. People were appalled tonight and have every right to voice it here. I cannot comprehend how anyone right thinking person could defeand him after this display.

There's no point in you getting mad or rolling your eyes, you're not going to stop so many people saying he's past it now, because it's the truth.

He'll try to hang on as there's no chance of getting any other employment now on TV, unless it's selling pans on a shopping channel.

But he just can't see it.

I expect the BBC will have a long hard think about over the next few months.

I defended his right to carry on working for his enjoyment rather than for money. Everyone has the right to carry on doing what they do regardless of whether they're liked or not. He wouldn't have survived as long as he had if he'd listened to every critic. I agree with the FM who has said that they'd always defended him, until tonight. It's good to have a balance rather than want rid of him because you don't like him.

I defended him every year on here until this. Now I think it is time to go. He's destroying his own reputation now, but he won't be the first to have done that.

He just isn't up to the job any more and he is unlikely to improve with age. He completely lacks insight if he thinks otherwise - he should be forced to watch a playback of his performance on tonight's show. Even Tess was struggling with him tonight.

His jokes are getting worse, he has to keep reminding the audience to laugh, or says "Well I thought it was funny". Unfortunately, most other people don't think either he, or his jokes are funny. And his behaviour tonight was atrocious.

Lens lense would have been interesting tomorrow! Darcy looked very embarrassed at the end after he did that, she kinda bit her lip.
