I'm Scottish and I couldn't care less if they have a Scottish contestant or not. Would not be a good thing if they went for that kind of tokenism, every year we would have to have 10 English 2 Scottish 1 Welsh and 1 northern Irish contestant, including at least one black and two asian dancers (not sure if they would need to include some gay celebrities or if the pros would account for that particular quota)

Just find a nice mixed group of ages and abilities with a few engaging characters, who cares where they're from?

I think if you want to save the Union then there should be a SCottish contaestanf every year

If the Union is so fragile that it will collapse if there is no Scottish contestant on Strictly then it seems doomed anyway.

Well it wouldnt be the only reason it would collapse but it wouldnt help
