Anyone but Anton. I love this show but don't think I could watch if Anton was in charge.

if Vernon does it I will stop watching!!!!!! hes an itv man so hopefully he wont get it

it has to be graham Norton to be the lead host...or

if tess is promoted to brucey's role then I would have an ex strictly male in tess old role, cant think who at the moment

Totally agree.

Would prefer Graham Norton over those two

No way on earth should it be either Vernon or Anton, like you I will stop watching. And like you to me it has to be Graham Norton, he fits so well into the world of ballroom dancing and has proved an excellent and witty host on the tea-time Andrew Lloyd Webber search for a star style of show.

If Tess does Brucie's role then the ex strictly male I would like to see would be Gethin ... ooohh be still my beating heart ...

Would prefer Graham Norton myself.

How about a superfan like ..... Miranda Hart, she would be brilliant

Paul O Grady with Tess or Claudia..

I can see Paul O'Grady with Tess but not Graham, who seems a 'one man show' type presenter.

Please not Vernon! Or Miranda!

I agree that Graham Norton would be fine. Wouldn't mind Aled.

I could live with Anton ( as a presenter I mean! )

Neither!

Anton doesn't have the training, skills and experience needed to present a live prime-time tv show.

Vernon does have the training, skills and experience needed but isn't popular and was dreadful when he presented Skating with the Stars in the States, which is a similar type of show; if he couldn't do that well, why would we think he can do Strictly well?

My vote goes for Tess front-of-house with Claudia back with the celebs; they've already proved they can do it and I don't subscribe to the theory that a presenting team has to be one man and one woman - and especially not to the theory that a man has to be the main presenter.

I did prefer Tess/Claudia to Bruce/Tess but I like Graham Norton and think he'd be good.

Neither.

Give Tess and Claudia a series and see how they get on.

I would have said Bill from Breakfast but he's moved away from London so maybe not.

Up until a few weeks ago I'd have voted for Anton. Then I saw him interviewing (can't remember who or why) on ITT and he was terrible. Diabolical even. I was so disappointed because I expected him to be great.

I actually think Vernon would be good but without Tess.

I think that's pretty clear - it's the closest to 'Neither of the above' !

It's also pretty clear that no suggestion would be universally popular, but the current team isn't exactly universally popular either, is it ?

I would be interested to see either Miranda or Bill T. given a shot. But also Tess and Claud would be fine by me - don't see why it can't be two females.

In which case it is a badly worded poll which failed to give an option for none of the above.

I do not want either of them to take over from Bruce. So None of the above please.

I agree.

The longer SBF goes on (and I have no objection to him carrying on) the bigger and more difficult this question gets. These threads have not thrown up any one who has prevented some people saying they will turn off if they are chosen.

Vernon Kay was on an exclusive deal at ITV but is now a free agent iirc, and at the time of the change the press were speculating because it was to position himself for SCD- as the barometer of speculation regarding Bruce going was on the up at the time. Clearly though Bruce is in no mind to go and I think says the show is partly what is keeping him going.

I dont think anyone is a shoe in for the role unfortunately and maybe the least offensive choice would be for Tess and Claudia to present as they are doing that already.
