Surprised how few favourites I have had over the years.

4 Mark Ramprakash (in spite of Karen Hardy) or Louisa Lytton
5 ? No real favourite (except for John Barnes ) but either one of Alesha, Kelly, or Matt would have been ok.
6 Rachael Stevens (no favourite that year)
7 Ricky Whittle (no particular favourite)
8 Harry Judd or Chelsea Healey (Chelsea favourite, but at least it wasn't Jason & Kristina)
9 Louis Smith (favourite dancer) and Flavia (favourite pro). result.

I only really started watching the show seriously from Series 6 onwards and this is who I thought should have won from that series onwards based on who I thought were the best dancers (not my favourite couple):

The ones who won are the ones who won and thus history proves that they should have won because they did, in fact, win.

It's not as if there was a goal disallowed which later proved to have gone over the line.

According to the rules of the competition they won. There's no 'should have' about it.

I do agree that the original winners all "should have" won though.

Can't remember the other series accurately enough to make a definitive list but as for this year - the right couple won - defo!
Louis and Flavia were popular AND they are excellent dancers.

If they were just popular and not very good I would not have been a happy bunny if they won under those circumstances. So very well done to both of them.

She's a bit more bullish nowadays in her slot on ITT, but back when she was a professional, Karen really endeared herself to me! Indeed, I thought that series I really wouldn't have minded which celeb won (I liked Emma and Matt just as much as Mark) but Karen's story, her devotion to her partner and how much it clearly meant to her, alongside her exquisite choreography, it's only the 3rd time I've urged on a pro as much as the celeb (Camilla and Flavia the other 2 in their victory years), and was thrilled for her when she won, as well as Mark.

But think of all the diffrent outfits Ola could have revealed hersef with more mmmmmmmmmmmmmm

I'm just thinking about my favourites Flav and Camilla and is they'd won ever series, we'd have had

I've only been watching since Series 6 so...
Series 6 - Rachel & Vincent
Series 7 - Ricky & Natalie
Series 8 - Matt & Aliona (though Kara deserved it)
Series 9 - Chelsee & Pasha
Series 10 - Dani & Vincent (Louis was deserving though)

Only watched from FT/Paso night seriously in series three but from what I've seen on You Tube Jill deserved to win series two - Natasha was probably the best of a not stellar bunch in series one - Claire Sweeny excepted who suffered from DVO ringer contraversy.

Three - Zoe (Colin would have fine too) and didn't seriously degrudge Darren.
Four- Ramps (possibly Matt and Emma were better technically but Ramps had wow) - Louisa wouldn't have sucked either
Five - Alesha was the right winner - but my own fav was Matt DA - Gethin and Kelly were easily of the right standard and who knows what Gaby might have acheived given the chance.
Six - Tom deserved it on the showdance, Rachel for consistency, Austin deserved a chance to show if he could overcome the QS blip - Austin was my favourite.
Seven - it should have been Jade's IMO - damn cruel fate - that said Chris or Ricky would have been fine - Chris for entertainment value - Ricky for talent - I'm glad Chris won. Jade's the only one who had both nailed IMO.
Eight - Kara - Matt B lost it for me on the showdance - I liked Pam too - my personal fav for the surprise value but Kara deserved the win.
Nine - Harry - poor Chelsee lost it on the night - I liked Jason and thought his and Kristina's was the best showdance but he was not consistant - and I could understand those he found him irritating and I don't think we missed much not seeing his samba although was not wowed by Chelsee's rhumba either.
Ten - very very hard to call between the finalists - I think Dani blew it on the showdance - but for me the right person won.
