I preferred Kimberley's, but I'm very influenced by the music, and walk like an egyptian was wrong and spoiled Denise's for me. It looked like I was watching a dance with the sound off and listening to a different piece of music.
Kimberley - it was my favourite dance of the entire series. 
Denise's was good, but it didn't make me think 'wow'. Maybe because I thought James looked awkward dancing it...

Charleston has to have 20s music for me. It's so entirely of its era.
Would have loved Denise's dance if it had had proper music and there IS music-hall type of stuff out there that would suit the Egyptian theme far better. The music ruined it for me. As SoD said just above - it was like that game Zoe played with Buble - which of these 3 tracks are they dancing to?
You'd never pick 'Walk like an Egyptian'. It's just awful. Talk about picking a track for the title and ignoring the musicality!
Actually she didn't need James in it. Would have worked better as a solo. He just didn't match her. I don't even like her but you couldn't take your eyes off her. She could have had a team of backing dancers rather than a partner and lost James.

Personally I preferred Kimberley's as to me it was a proper charleston and had proper charleston music. Plus it was fun and seemed so much more bouncy.

They did twentieorise the "Walk Like An Egyptian" music. Rather cleverly I thought.
Afraid I still thought it dismal and dirge-like.
In terms of tempo and harmonies it wasn't upbeat and had far too many minor chords to be suitable.

Last night Denise and James could have danced in front of the Pharaoh and been rewarded with a pot of gold.
Last night Denise perfected her hilarious sidesways head movement. She had accepted she would not get past her Showdance. When she did she cheerfully treated the charleston as a luxury bonus with no thought of winning. Denise was relaxed, beaming.
Last night's 10-10-10-10 charleston, more than her previous performance, was the one dance of the season which honoured and redeemed SCD10, for me.

I loved both charlestons, but Kim's tops it for me because I had a big smile on my face throughout the whole routine.
I hate Charlestons but Denise danced hers a bit better. Kimberly's was heavier & a messier.

For me, Kimberley's charlston was the dance of the series, she was amazing.

I'm not much of a fan of the Charleston and there's only one in all of SCD history that I liked a lot - Kara and Artem's. I also preferred Harry and Aliona's to any of those this year.
However I thought Denise's was the best Charleston this year, even though I'm another who really didn't like the music to it.

Loved both Denise and Kimberley's charlestons, both more than Louis which I also enjoyed. Denise looked more professional and Kimberley's was more fun, so really can't separate them. Was surprised they didn't repeat the Charleston for "their choice" dance.
For me, definitely Denise and James. I would have really liked them to win last night, but am also happy that Louis and Flavia did, and even happier that Kimberly didn't.
