Ok I am over the moon because I wanted Louis and Flavia to win BUT if Denise or Kimberley had won I would have been happy for them if disappointed for Louis and I certainly would not have been making nasty bitchy comments about them winning.

Other years the person I wanted to win hasn't - I wanted Chelsee but was happy for Harry and the previous year I wanted Matt but was happy for Kara. I didn't moan and bitch about the results.

Some people didn't think he was the best dancer - fine everyone has their opinion and there is no right or wrong in who you like. I have loved Louis' dances because they were understated. I don't like the gurning look at me dances (I actually thought Louis' charleston was one of his worst because of the faces). A lot of people thought he was the best dancer and yes, I expect some people voted because they think he is goodlooking or a nice guy or an olympian but I am sure people voted for Kimberley because she is pretty or has a great figure or they love Girls Aloud - that is life

This is a discussion forum. People have their opinions, some include not thinking Louis should've won. That is life.

I am delighted for them .I wasnt sure but they edged it for me and i lived the showdance .I thought they were simply better entertainment on the night .Good on them

I said that some people did not think Louis should win and that of course we are all entitled to our opinions. What I don't get is the nastiness. I don't think Harry should have won last year or Chris Hollins his year but I wouldn't be nasty about them. The public voted for them that is all that matters.

I don't think Bradley Wiggins should have won Sports Personality of the Year but I haven't been on forums telling everyone and being nasty about it

I loved them all, voted for Denise but pleased Louis won.
The contestants were all pleased for him so I wish some viewers would just lighten up and try to enjoy the programme rather than constant fault finding.:yawn:

I see what you mean, I have seen some horrible posts about Louis saying things like "I hope he doesn't get to Rio" which I think is bang out of order. But, in my opinion, Louis shouldn't have won. I agree there is no need for nastiness though.

I'm happy for them, fed up with people saying he's used to performing in front of big audiences - he isn't. Gynastics has a following but only the big events get numbers turning up. Even the world championships have loads of empty seat and at grassroots and club events well it's only the few who turn out Well done Louis!!!!

Exactly I am over the moon that Louis and Flavia won but I can also say that if any of the others had won then they too would have been worthy winners. It was a great final and yeah I am happy that my favourites won, but Louis and Flav were the best on the night, the votes reflected that.... and they ultimately won because of it. I have no doubt whatsoever that if Kimberley had been as good as she had been the previous two weeks, and had a decent showdance then she would have been the winner and I wouldn't have had a grumble.

The same disgruntled posters making the same disgruntled posts all over the forum is probably making them feel better though.

From looking at this thread http://forums.digitalspy.co.uk/showthread.php?t=1774527 him and Flavia have more votes than the other 3 COMBINED and I wouldn't be surprised if that reflected the same in the phone votes.

I don't see much evidence that people are not happy for Flavia and Louis. I think it's obvious to anyone with eyes that they didn't win because of Louis's dancing ability but they won fairly in terms of being the most popular couple on the show.

I respect your opinion. Of course you get upset if your favourite doesn't win. I never really took to Dani but I felt so sorry for her last night. She really wasn't on her best form and her showdance was awful in my view. I even had a bit of a tear for her and Vincent when they were voted off first.

I just will never understand why people get so nasty - there really is no need. After all it's only a tv show!

He's in his prime - he'd be mad to. Also, anybody who has said they hope he doesn't make Rio simply has a screw loose - not referring to you there btw

From what I read on here, some seem to want good dancing and don't care if it's a professional doing it. So they are in fact watching the wrong show as this show is meant to be about amateurs not professionals dancing.

Then you get the soap fans who seem to watch it for the pretend romance between the dancers. (I'm serious! They do!)

So Louis was an amateur who didn't faff around pretending and faking it all the way. That is not what the two types above demand from this show.

This show is meant to be the karaoke of dancing, if they wanted a show full of people who could already bring professional dance training and professional acting skills then they should go and watch something else.

Seems the people who do like Louis don't like the fake glam of Denise.

I for one am very happy for them, I thought the show dance was sublime.

Why go out of your way to have a dig at Denise on a thread about Louis? Denise had no more dance training than Kimberley or Dani, it's a shame that even now the show is finished people still feel the need to stick the boot in...

As for people not being happy for Louis, I would have been happy with any of the final three winning, all deserving winners.

There are always going to be bitter, negative people that will lash out when their favourite doesn't win, but they are best ignored. I think the vast majority of people on the forum are happy for Louis and Flavia.

I am happy because SCD this year was one of the best ever.

I am happy for Kimberley because job offers have been rolling in.

Louis will go back to his chosen career in gymnastics.

People only agree to go into SCD to revive their flagging careers or to get some publicity.

Those that are truly competitive rise to the top.

But they all provide me with some wonderful entertainment on a Saturday night and the BBC is to be congratulated for the format of SCD and sales of its format around the world. It keeps the licence fee down.

Wanted Kim to win but I like Flavia and it obviously meant a lot to her. No probs with them winning.

I hardly post on here any more as it doesnt seem that many of the forumites watch the same show as I do! I have enjoyed this year's Strictly. I love Strictly - for what it is. I don't want to bitch about any of it, regardless of my opinion. I can quite happily keep my opinions to myself. I look back at the days when this was a pink and fluffy forum. I am very happy for Louis and Flavia to be the winners, but I would have been happy if any of the three girls had won.

I have eyes and, in my opinion, his dancing WAS the reason he won. HIs salsa was excellent as was his charleston and I agree wholeheartedly with Len, the showdance was exquisite. If it blew Darcey away and Len said it would live on in his memory then I feel my opinion that he is an excellent dancer is totally justified.

Now that he has won the dancing contest one doubts he will be pole vaulting for Britain at the next Olympics in Rio . But congratulations to the chap for what he has achieved so far at such a young age .
