I wonder how much of Denise's apparent lack of public support was due to their view of James Jordan.

His self promoting antics and continual hogging of the limelight makes you wonder who is the celebrity , him or his partner.
Its not excitement, commitment, or all the other excuses offered for him in other years, its just a "me, me, me" attitude he has.

Taking last nights final as an example, when compared to the quiet professionalism of Pasha and Flavia, he was a disgrace.

Agree, but I did enjoy the fact that Denise put him in his place and gave as good as she got.

The problem with Denise and James was in part with James. He is quite dislikable and together with the constant reminder that Denise has danced professionally before, made them a couple that could not possibly win. A shame because Denise was a great dancer


If Denise had been partnered by Pasha for instance I doubt that she would have been perceived so badly. He would have shown her in a demure fashion and not quite so brash. James's ego and personality seemed to brush off on Denise and not in a good way, however they were friends before Strictly so perhaps it was a sure thing that they would be paired together.

James will never win Strictly, nor will Anton, so why they are kept on as pros is beyond me!! Only to say that Anton deals very well with the duffer celeb, although I would have no confidence in him being able to pull off a win even if he had the likes of Darcey the prima ballerina as a partner.
