Any evidence from past series that the friends ARE for life not just for Christmas?

I do feel the hot-house of the show could bring a closeness that may fade afterwards back in real-world.

The relationship I saw between Robin and Lisa certainly convinced me that they willl remain close.

The Jordans and the Logans seem to be judging by twitter, and Chris & Ola and Ricky & Natalie.

Yes, Chris has made it clear that he will always support the Jordans and their partners.

For all the criticisms of James, I think that is very telling.

Friends for a life is a cliché not exclusive to the Dogs Trust.
It requires a regular supply of Bonios.

I know Ian has holidayed with both Zoe and Jodie - I think Christine was with Ian and Jodie on that same holiday too, if my memory is correct (always touch 'n' go with me).

Yes I think so. It's a very intense experience to trust someone to choreograph for you and in effect tell you what to do. The ones who don't end up friends for life (or the next few years) tend to be the ones who can't surrender to that process or have Brendan as a partner!

Not really. It's a nice thing to say, but words are cheap. We don't know if Chris actually does anything to support the Jordans. Anyone can say "I'll always support so-and-so" but we have no way of knowing if that's simply an empty platitude or they actually back up their words with actions.

I think it's like with any situation where we're part of a group (school, university, work, social gatherings), when the group goes their seperate ways, we tend to stay in touch with a few people (if we stay in touch with anyone at all), not the whole group. No doubt Strictly is the same. Some couples will stay in touch, others won't. A celeb may stay in regular touch/socialise with a few others and/or pros, but probably not the whole group.
