Darcey the new girl in class survives her first term. Yahs littered first night, became scarce on second night, and have now vanished. Constructive criticism it appears, is not wasted on Darcey.
She entered White Lodge at age 13, two years behind her classmates, and found herself bottom of class. Through talent and determination she worked her way to the top.

Would you like to give Darcey a paddle?

ONE stands for the number of times Bruce tells a good joke in a season.
TWO stands for the number of heel leads Len sees in Week 1.
THREE stands for the maximum number of fights in one night before Strictly spontaneously combusts.
FOUR judges furiously fighting.
Five musicians playing in time to Dave Arch.
SIX should never be mixed up with SEX of which there is so much on the dance floor.
SEVENNNN is the rallying call to mediocrity, not at all like HEAVENNNNN. .
EIGHT is not to be confused with bait, fate, hate, mate which are closer to SIX,
NINE is a cloud close to heaven.
TEN is heaven.

She is the best female judge they have had and perhaps the best judge regardless of gender.

She is in every way the perfect judge for SCD. She has the know how to base her advice and critique on, she has the self awareness to no become too OTT, she has good sense of humor and can laugh at herself, and she is expressive enough to provide us a few hilarious moments throughout the show.

I thought she was one of the best things about this season.

She actually knows what she's talking about (unlike Alesha) but doesn't try to court controversy for the sake of it (unlike Arlene)

The BBC has got it just right with her.

I'd just like to see her become a little bit more outspoken next season (not to Craig and Arlene levels obviously) especially when her co-judges (Len and Bruno) are obviously talking nonsense and/or being annoying.

She has been marvellous and it is obvious her guest stint in 2009 wasn't a true reflection of her and that she has managed to make her mark. She has come across really well in interviews about the show and obviously did her homework before starting the series. I think she has restored some old values that SCD used to have and in terms of scoring this year the judges have been a lot more better - no 8s on Week 1 like last year. Even though I dislike 'comedy' contestants, I do agree that it would be interesting to see how Darcey would judge the likes of someone like Nancy.

Darcey is an excellent judge. She is class and knows what she is talking about (she is also a Pilates teacher). I like the fact that she has studied ballroom and Latin thoroughly. Hope she returns next year.

I now qualify as a ballet fan as I've finally been to one!

I thought she was very good, she gave constructive advice.

errr... Darcey does NOT teach Pilates. She has a DVD that was launched years ago.

She has, however, received high praise in light of the viewing figures : http://balletnews.co.uk/strictly-come-dancing-is-a-hit/

And on the plus side, more people know how to spell her name correctly now!

Darcey was a good addition to the panel, she has a good knowledge of dance and gave good positive constructive criticism.

She did and was never unkind. I hope they sign her up for next year.

I hope the lovely Darcy is back next year - I loved her constructive comments - never mean but always helpful - and commands respect from the male judges - my kind of girl

I hope she doesn't change a thing. She's perfect. (And I find it quite tedious when the judges bicker)

As someone who was deeply unimpressed with Darcey's guest judge appearance a couple of years ago - and her appointment this season - I've been absolutely delighted with her.

She knows what she's talking about and doesn't hold back from criticising honestly but she has also brought a degree of warmth and kindness that was lacking before (the very qualities that Alesha was supposed to be bringing but didn't manage to). Her diplomacy and encouragement of the contestants combined with her natural air of authority and her technical knowledge of dance add some real class to the judging panel.

Darcey is the best female judge Strictly have ever had by a country mile. I'm so glad she is returning next year.

She was excellent. I loved the fact that she regularly gave constructive criticism even in the later weeks. She should've replaced Arlene a few years ago.

Really, why would the Beeb not keep Darcey as long as they can? One of the best dancers in the world while working, still one of the most beautiful women in the world, able to give constructive criticism while staying supportive...

OK, yeah, I'm in love. So I'm not an objective judge. But still... she's been one of the only good changes this series for me.

For taking home such a term report Darcey surely deserves an extra mince pie from her husband

Admittedly thought she was a bit pointless when she guest judged in Series 7 but totally changed my opinion now she's a full-time judge!! I would say she was my favourite judge this series (despite a couple of dodgy scores!!)

Her scoring has been a little erratic and narrow, but her comments and advice have been great.
I think the "beautful necklace" hint for posture was very good
