Favorate Zelda game?
I know Skyward Sword is a lot of peoples fav but for some reason I just never clicked with it. With Zelda games I enjoy it when there's a wide catalogue of sidequests and the majority of SS sidequests were all Skyloft based. Its just a little bit to linear for me
As for my favorate, nothing comes close, imo, to Majoras Mask. When it first came out that game had me in absolute awe What's yours? |

For me gotta be The Wind Waker, I know alot of people didn't like the sailing mechanic but I just loved the cell shaded graphics and its style. May just bust out me old purple cube and start a new game now im off work till the new year.

Links Awakening DX, i've lost count of the number of times i've played through and not got bored
Got Skyward Sword the other day played up until the first dungeon, but other new games have got in the way of me making more progress |

Dead heat between Majora's Mask and Ocarina of Time for me. I cannot decide which one I like better...both equally excellent.

Ocarina of Time is the quintessential Zelda experience. If someone asked me for the most purest example of the series I'd tell them to play that as it has everything that makes the series so special (including the infamous slow start). To me the most important thing about Zelda are the dungeons, it's always been the most fun aspect imo and for that reason I hold OoT in very high regard.
My personal favourite game though would be Skyward Sword, the main reason is that I loved the setting and it offered a huge level of variety to the core gameplay, the 1:1 motion controls were nigh on perfect and the combat is by far the best the series has seen. The dungeons were all of a very high quality, beautiful graphic design, the music is INCREDIBLE and overall has that magical property that the very best Zelda games posses. |

Ocarina Of Time though I thought Spirit Tracks was actually a really great little handheld Zelda.

That is hard. They all have their own merits for their range, the consoles they were played on. For me its a toss up between Twilight Princess and Ocarina of Time.

Twilight Princess is a brilliant game.
The Wind Waker is a brilliant game but is ruined by the long boring sailing sections that the game is built around. Ocarina Of Time is tedious at parts but it holds the most fond memories. So i choose that. |

Ocarina of Time. Just an incredible, amazing game.
It was the first Zelda game I played and nothing comes close to it, frankly. Majora's Mask was good but seemed inconsequential next to it, Wind Waker was ruined by the endless sailing, Twilight Princess was a bizarre compromise between a GameCube game and a Wii game and excelled as neither, Skyward Sword...well, it was ok, but I've kind of forgotten most of it and I only finished it at the beginning of this year. Ocarina, I've played through about three times (but not for about 10 years now), and remember it vividly. Key sequences, such as stealing Epona, jumping the chasm in Gerudo Valley, the final battle with Ganon...still stick in my head. I could pick up that game now and play it through, knowing basically what to do, where to go. The others have quickly faded from my memory and haven't urged me to replay. |

Skyward Sword was great.
I loved the art style, the beetle drone, and the music in particular. I also liked those dreamy stealth stage, and that genius mining temple where you had to change a factory back to its working heyday and ruined present to complete it. I don't think its up there with Ocarina and MM, because it did lack in one or two areas. The reward you get for completing the gratitude crystals quest is incredibly disappointing, and too many sidequests were justified with a weak 'I accidentally dropped it over the side' excuse. But overall the pros vastly outweigh the cons |
