actually, had a little bit of a dilemma tonight.
voted furiously for J&D in SC2.
still have a soft spot for "awful opera singer" Lesley and Anton, who tickle me (figuratively speaking).
but wanted the overall thingy to be N&B.
so flatmate and i split our votes (although i voted more than she did )

I voted furiously for Natasha and Brendan
But gave one vote to Lesley & ANton, and Aled & Lilia

I am now MAD that they didn't win So mad I want to email Nastasha & Brendan fan mail so they don't feel disheartened... not that they should be disheartened that they lost but cause of the vindictiveness of the judges tonight

AWWWW! Poor Denise and Ian! I really wanted them to win! Well Done to Jill and Darren, though!

I'm so glad that annoying Lesley Garret didn't win!

You wouldn't happen to be Steg from famousmales forums would you?

I replied to the SCD Xmas Special thread too as well and I think you did as well.

Am I right?

It's just very strange. Because the person who commented about SCD on Famousmales has exactly the same username as you...

And was a Denise and Ian fan, just wondering, that's all.

Oh what a surprise... Jill and Darren....

They're always hogging the limelight, they should let someone else take the trophy!! I wouldn't be so harsh against her but I think it's just so unfair she used to be a dancer before hand, obviously she is going to win.

I thought tonight Martin and Erin were actually really good and the wonderful Aled and Lilia - their dance to walking in the air was just magical. Natasha and Brendan were just lovely and so romantic, I can't believe they didn't like them!!

And wasn't Craig so camp in tonights show? Haha wicked stuff

Voted furiously?, I assume you voted many times?, if so why? what's the point surely the computers rule out or account for multiple votes.

You've got to be kidding! Surely not! *PANIC* Nooooo... though it may be a fair way of counting votes... but then again Nooooo.. I was voting for all the people who agreed with me but didn't pick up the phone!

I don't usually vote bunches.... but this time I did... I panicked and thought they needed the votes, which apparently they did cause of the vindictive judges *HISSATARLENE&CRAIG*

actually, as a diehard N&B fan, I didn't feel their choreography was that innovative/exciting BUT they still knock the spots off everyone in the inevitable "chemistry" department (said to flatmate that a vote for them is a vote for sex!) AND their control with the slow foxtrot was fabulous.
oh well.”

Uv said it all in one post Victoria G. I was also left deeply deeply disappointed.
Maybe its partly my fault. I was so xcited about that thing that I maybe set my standards too high and it was hyped a lot on TV and in magazines. The whole evening was just.......bleh.
Also was it me or was Craig trying to 'gay himself up' EVEN more. I mean "hot butt action" what the hell was all that about and referring to Len as Daaarling. It just creeped me out.
I am a fan of the Cole and Kaplinsky but I was disappointed that their dance didnt move me as it would have dun peviously. The highlights of the night were Denise and Ian and Jill and Darren *gags* (I had to say it). Lesley seemed very nervous and just didnt appear as free and as floaty as she normally does in her Waltzes.

Yeah I agree with u. *nodds head enthusiastically* Especially with the Craig thing. I was like huh. I mean I wonderd if he was gay and if he and Julian were having a "thing" but man I now KNOW that that guy is gay.
On a happier note Martin was great. He looked like he was actually dancing so u have to give him cred for that. Aled and Lilia's dance was imaginative and creative. I loved the way they interpreted the song. And Len's line of the night. "It was like the Puff Daddy (although P Diddy now Len) version of Walking in the Air". I still cant make me mind up about N and B. I was really disappointed but thinking back it was kinda romantic but I wish they had done more to attack me... ........they should done their Quickstep. If I remember correctly I think that was good first time round.

Please try to talk some sense.

Do you honestly believe what you are saying. It wasn't a BB Dance well competition.

It was a who danced the best and the public liked the most competition.

It was! Honest!

I don't understand, everytime I watch this show Denise and Ian always come out on top in the Judge's vote/table but always miss out in the public vote. Why? I feel a bit sorry for them, i thought they were brilliant. They must be wondering why the public don't agree with the judges enough to win.

I believe Natasha & Brendan were the best dancers in the first series and deserved to win, however I also believe they would not have won had they been competing in series 2 against Jill & Darren and Denise & Ian.

In my opinion Natasha can learn her moves and perform them without error, however it seems to me that she lacks suppleness and natural rythym and this was highlighted last night when she was competing against Jill and Denise, both of whom I believe have natural rythym.

As for the magic of Brendan and Natasha, I think I must have been watching a different programme than some people last night because it looked like Natasha was very uncomfortable with Brendan. Her smile and 'loving' glances all appeared forced and contrived and when they finished their dance and Brendan nuzzled his face into hers, she visibly stiffened then laughed it off, whereas in series 1 she would have let him (and often did let him) kiss her.

I also think their relationship influenced Brendan's choice of choreography - I think he wanted to rekindle the magic and he was so concerned with making them look 'as one', 'in love' etc, his whole routine lacked spark and anything to make it stand out from the rest.

Personally I would have liked to have seen Denise & Ian win last night, but I can't complain too much that they lost to Jill & Darren as Jill is a fantastic dancer.
