Really?!? As I want to know who actually finished 2nd and 3rd, surely the BBC should tell us?

I actually wondered wither the BBC would be legall obliged to tell us who was 2nd and 3rd as I am sure some bookies did have bets for Top Female Celeb

Thats obvoulsly going to be up for debate if the BBC refuse to tell us 2nd/3rd

Anyone had that bet?

If you have to know why not send in a Freedom of Information request.

Never.

And yes, the FOI thing has been tried and failed, and that also has been discussed, many times already.

It seems a bit daft not to reveal who finished 2nd/3rd, since we know all the other couples' finishing positions (and we'd normally know 2nd/3rd if it was a two or three couple final).

The BBC never reveal the voting percentages for their TV talent shows. Odd, since no other channels seem to have that issue. ITV reveal the X-Factor stats and I'm pretty sure they do the same with DOI and I'm A Celeb (which are basically in the same boat as Strictly, in that the contestants are celebrities). The only explanation I've seen re: Strictly is that revealing the voting % could affact the celebs' marketability if they weren't pulling in the votes. I can't see it being that much of an issue, though.

I have to say, the weirdest results reveal for me is X-Factor US. There they revealed where contestants came in the voting order when the results were announced each week! Bizarre and made it blindingly obvious who was going to win (basically, the contestant who was in the top spot most weeks and never went lower than the number two spot!
