I really enjoyed all the weeks of this series, particularly the full set of hard-working contestants, not having a deliberate clown mucking abaht. (Lisa began to grate on my nerves towards the end but nobody could ever doubt that she worked very hard on her routines.)
Music and costumes generally better, VTs seemed a bit shorter (though many of them still naff, time to go and make coffee)

The Semis produced some splendid dances, but the Finals was the best one yet for technical standard, and for the final contestants to be so close together in marks. I

(So Louis won - I'm OK with that, because it was Flavia's moment of glory after so many fruitless years. The other finalists all have their own compensations careerwise etc.)

Music and costumes far better, and better organisation of the final.

And finally I started to appreciate Darcey as a judge.

The only two points I would change for 2013:
1. Stop the endless repetition of the interviews near the end about how much people want to win - they really are pointless. They'll have to find some other way to fill in time.
2. Get rid of Bruce. Only one presenter on the floor needed: Tess or A N Other.

I really liked that any of the final four had the potential to win. Although we all had an idea how it would go on the night, it was still more exciting than the usual final.

Not the best for me but it was good

The year Kara won was the best for me, she was a beautiful dancer (more so than Denise I think) and a well deserved winner because, even despite the romance (which look more like the opposite to me), it was undeniable that she was a more than good dancer.

But two of my other favourites years was last year (because I liked seeing poor Kristina with someone good for a change and being able to do more with her choreography),and also the year that had Alesha Dixon, Kelly Brook, Matt Di angelo and Gethin Jones in it. I doubt Kelly would have won that year (even if it weren't for the tragedy in her family) as she just didn't seem popular even before that happened anyway, but, it would still have been interesting to see how far she would have got if that tradedy hadn't occured and she and Brendan had been able to go on. I thought it was Brendan's best year that year too (choreography wise) and (apart from Lisa Snowdon), he's not really since had a good enough partner to do more more than just get through a routine from week to week.

This year probably comes third favourite for me. The year Kara won first, then the year Alesha won (though I wanted Matt or Kelly to win) then prob this year, with last year very closely behind.
