I agree.

Scottish blokes annoy me. Although I was a little bit impressed with their place but their attitudes have now put me off.

Blackpool lady is ok but her place wasnt great great

Yurt's were ok but not really my cup of tea (again, they've compared different properties - a castle and yurts )

Therefore, Graham and Lisa, who have come across well, seem to have the nicest place (for me) this week

Funny how you change your opinion through the week. I didn't think Lisa and Graham were really my type of people at first, but seeing the whole week so far and reading their reviews on TA, I've warmed to them so much more.

The most telling review I think was from someone who stayed for about a month after their house was flooded.
Like some of the other comments, they pointed out how welcome they were made and how nothing was too much trouble.

Regardless of experience, that seems the true mark of someone suited to the hospitality industry.

It's similar to Come Dine With Me and May The Best House Win - it's not always the most deserving who wins, because if someone decides to deliberately undermark/pay, they manipulate the result.

I wish they would not let them read the comments until after all the visits have been made because I think it influences the judging of the later establishments unfairly.

I haven't been over to TA yet, but I think I'll go and browse. I would like to read that review about Lisa and Graham, I think they have come across as really sincere.

Agree with both the above. On Monday I made a rash, negative judgement. But now I think they are probably the best of the four.

Exactly right. It's a bit bizarre, I think, to expect people to cook their own brekkie in their tent or on a fire outside.

The odd thing about the boys' tents is the tents seem really spacious but all there seems to be is the bed... and a table... or maybe I wasn't very observant. I'd expect a couple of comfy chairs or a sofa too, near the wb stove... and that's the other thing about these tents... I like a window - there aren't any. And I want a loo which doesn't require a hike up the field last thing at night and first thing in the morning. Or more often if one is... urinarily challenged.

I also want a room with a view (a nice view!) when I'm away and glamping without the guarantee of good weather is never going to do it for me... and the cost of brekkie should be included unless the rates are rock bottom... and the boys' tent rates aren't that.

All this really means, of course, is I'm not a glamp owner's target market.

Just watched on 4OD and I so agree I was ready to dimiss Graham and Lisa but they have come across as the most open and generous and really good hosts. Frankly Mr Perfect Chick has developed an obnoxious side and Jason - I , like Ben dislike people who can't say please. Jo is a bit defensive and she has no need to as like many Blackpool land ladies she provides very good value. This is why I wish they would judge the B&Bs properly not just on personal likes and dislike but on the correct criteria..is this a good place to stay in Blackpool is I was visiting there ...not I never would go there? Is it good value? If I wanted a more luxurious Scottish weeked, if I was a business or IT customer..If I wanted to glamp this would be the one for me. I have an aversion to canvas now I am an old biddy but I would loved the yurt ( if the loo were nearer )but not the bell tents as that would remind me of guide-camp! It's no use putting no as you have no intention of camping, you have to imagine if that did appeal to you. Otherwise like Chic (pea)LOL and Jace you just have to game play.

I wonder how the cooked breakfast works when it rains? There have been incidences last year of people killed by BBQs being used inside so they can't use them in the tents.

Anyway £12 would be an expensive breakfast anywhere, let alone cooked by yourself on a BBQ in a field

Can't say I've been impressed with any of the glamping style outfits on this show - I camp as its dirt cheap -these places are pricier than a decent B&B with en suite ffs!

I always thought they charged so much in those glamping places as a form of snobbery so they don't attract the usual camping crowd. Having your breakfast cooked outside was ridiculous, surely it would be easier for them to cook it in the house and deliver it in take away trays to their tents.

I think I would try a two night stopover in an old Romany caravan or shepherd's hut, but the price would have to be right, the price of breakfast would have to be included, cooked for me, and I don't think I would try glamping more than a couple of times.
I tend not to pick B&Bs which charge separately for breakfast.I'm searching for somewhere coastal to go at the end of January for a few days, possibly up to a week. Wherever I choose, it will definitely will be inside accommodation, with an ensuite bathroom (or wellie, maybe not, yuk),and central heating.

Correct me if I have got this wrong.

Jo thought Chick and Jasons comments were from Ben & Keri. So she may have had it in for Ben & Keri when it came to payment.

Ben & Keri thought Chick and Jasons comments were from Jo, so they won't be very happy with her.

Could be fireworks tonight when they all realise Chick & Jason are the culprits!
