Thawing the turkey!
Ive a 1.7kg turkey breast joint. We froze it 2 days ago to avoid any possibility of it going off... And here's hoping mine will have finished defrosting in the fridge... It's been sitting in the fridge since last night. If it hasn't, (and its looking a little bit like its wanting to take its time!!), how is the safest way to help finish off the defrost without giving everyone the shits on Boxing Day?

Could you move it somewhere less cold than the fridge?
But colder than room temperature. I defrosted one on the back doorstep once! |

put it on a bucket of cold water.
next time the recommendation is 10 to 12 hours per KG defrosting in the fridge. |
