After watching Katya on the christmas special I hope she comes back as an official pro on next years series. She has bundles of personality and her choreography is always entertaining.
Please bring back Katya.

Katya was so good with Bobby and supportive. Would love her to be reinstated- Karen isn't in her league

What happened to Lilia? I didn't really enjoy what Katya did tonight but would still rather have her back over Karen or Ola. Kristina seems to be becoming more and more of a feature in SCD so can't see her going any time soon.

Apparently she refused to dance to the Beeb,s tune!! She dis-agreed with many things they were doing and the final straw was when they opted to resort to that stupid spin-off dance group (which Darren was party to) but Lilia refused to join seeing it as a complete snub! Which it was....... Lets face it Darren and Lilia were instumental in the original success of Strictly.........but as we all Know the Producers rule! (However daft their ideas are)!!
Another yes to bringing Katya back, I'd love to see what she could do with a real contender
It was Lilia's choice not to join (though she was right, it was a shambles).
Things change and move on, they'd been on the show for years and although Lilia had had a bad run with her last couple of partners, she had two very good years, and she did win. I don't think in that respect she can have much to complain about.

Katya's face looked different last night - has she had cosmetic surgery? I hardly recognised her at first
I like Karen, but I got the impression that she didn't have enough relevant experience to fit the job. She did give it 100% effort though.
So I think they made a mistake in replacing Katya with Karen.
Katya also gives it 100%, has a good sense of humour and worked very well with Phil and Gavin, who were both difficult to get the best from.

Depends what Katya wants - she has just got married so maybe wants to take a back seat for a while. She is clearly part of the Strictly "family" and CRH is known to admire her.
The dance troupe idea is not so stupid as it gives the BBC "back up pro dancers" under contract in case of any injuries - so would have worked this series.
Ian Waite is on standby as a male backup and was used in this series.
Word from other posters is that Katya was appraoched when Aliona got injured but was unavailable/ overseas.
Ian & Natalie and Kristina do a lot of group dance choreography so are "of use" to the producers.
We, the audience, have little idea what goes on backstage with the show and dancers, who is popular, who does what they are told, who argues etc.
Don't be fooled by "stage persona" as to how the dancers are thought of by the "powers that be".
When they had the big "clear out" of Pro's, they brought in several dancers from the former Eastern bloc.
I thought this was maybe a bit like Pantos using Aussie soap stars, they do exactly what the Director/ producers tell them (in the Aussies case because they have no idea what Panto is anyway), and don't answer back or make suggestions of their own.
Katya maybe falls into this category, being born in Lithuania and growing up in Israel - where you have to do what you are told by the Govt !!

Yes to Katya, but also yes to Iveta and Karen. Karen deserves another year, IMO. She's a bit scatty / nuts (eg jive challenge ) and her second year may well be better than her first.
I wonder since the usual celeb winner lately is male (?) if the show shouldn't have more female Pro dancers than male in any case. If Anton is ready to go and one other male Pro, then we could have Katya, Karen and Iveta. If available.

Has Katya had a baby recently? Just a question. She looked a little bit less toned than when I last saw her
