She is so beautiful and obviously loved you lots, you can see it in her eyes in that picture. Hope it has not been too awful for you, I understand your pain all too well.

Thanks, everyone, for your kind words and thoughts. Feeling a lot better today - the previous 24 hours were terrible. She had a good (if very short) life here after a shaky start being abandoned and, possibly, abused and I'm kinda trying to focus on the positive that she was rescused from all of that and decided to spend some time with me. As others have said, she was absolutely beautiful, and she had all the usual quirks and idiosyncrasies that we see in all of our pets...... I'll never forget her.
