I was going to get some but never got to LIDL. I tried the Ostrich steaks. Nice flavour but too tough.
Only tried them once though so haven't tried different cooking times or techniques.

Well a lot of other wild animals around the world get killed for attacking herds of animals destined for human consumption. Its a fact of life if you like it or not,
Anyway the animal group Viva who seem to be the source for this information seem to target any one and everyone who eats meat..So how much of the information and pictures are true I don't know as it is an article in the SUN, and they have never been a believable paper.

Anyway I'm not going to defend myself to anyone about eating reindeer. it was nice.

I had a reindeer burger the other day from a local place, couldn't not try it! Tis quite nice

They sell it in the farm shop close to me.

For a few weeks close to Christmas you can go and visit the reindeer, then after they've been slaughtered, you can eat them.

They also give names to some of the animals that they later sell as meat, which has always seemed wrong to me as I'd rather not eat something I'm on first name terms with.

That is hardly something to be proud of!

I think it's rather more he made himself sound like a tit saying that he told a 5 year old it was Rudolph and then laughed when he cried. Obviously that bit is made up, but it's still pretty sad.

I got some of Lidl's reindeer steak this year, but haven't cooked it yet - any recommendations?
(No kiddies will be disillusioned by my dinner - promise)

Not tried it yet myself but would have though it would be similar to venison so recipies for that may be a useful guide.

actually it is not made up, being you were not there you do not know, or was witness to what happened.
Actually what happened was i was over a friends, their kid asked me what i was eating for Christmas dinner so I said Rudolph the reindeer, he burst into tears, my friend was not impressed, but people laughed, the little nipper stopped crying half a min later and life resumed back to normal.
So people have a stupid connection between Santa and reindeer and believe its all so magical. Originally Santa rode a horse, don't hear many people having a moan at anyone who ate horse for Christmas. From looking around on the internet Santa and reindeer is an americanised idea.

Anyway the only time I can find strange and different meats to eat in this neck of the woods is Christmas time. If they sell it again i'll buy it, I'll try anything me. I was vegetarian for about 20 years, now im letting my belly do the talking.
