Problems going 'back' a page on DS forums - am I the only one..?
When I view a thread and want to go back a page I hit either 'backspace' or the 'back' button on IE. 90% of the time the status bar at the bottom of the page briefly says something like 'ad.uk.doubleclick.net.....' and nothing happens.
It's bloody annoying. Does this happen to anyone else - do I need to change one of IE's numerous settings to stop this happening? EDIT: Actually meant to post this in General Discussion... |

Sounds like you've got something on your computer - download AdAware and run that - it should get rid of anything. Also download a free pop-up stopper from www.cnet.com that'll help.

I'm clean - I use both Ad-Aware and SpyBot about once a fortnight. IE is actually reasonably good, and it has a built-in pop-up stopper. (As has Firefox, which I only use for stuff I don't want the wife to know about...)

Dont worry, i have this problem too when i access it at school in Internet explorer. It seems the iFrames with the ads in must redirect because when you press back it actually just reverts the Ad Banners, therefore it requires two backspace presses to actually move the page back.
It's annoying!!!! |
