Blu ray / AV amp without speakers
Anybody got recommendations for a basic blu ray / AV amp with 2 x HDMI inputs but I don't need the speakers really.
I was thinking about the one below and I suspect the speakers are throwaway anyway at that price, http://www.richersounds.com/product/...22/pion-bcs222 |

All-in-one kits come with speakers. You can't buy the head-end box as a standalone item for a couple of reasons; the most important to you being speaker compatibility. If you had a kit that died, then unless you know for sure that the speakers are a direct match in Ohms rating (impedance), connection method (direct to the box or via the sub) and finally subwoofer type (passive, which is mostly the case with these Or active if that particular all-in-one houses the power amp in the sub as some Panasonics do as an example.)
If you have to buy something like that Pioneer then just use the Pioneer speakers too. That goes for whether you need just 2.1 as well as 5.1 If you have a proper after-market 5.1 speaker package with an active sub then the all-in-one head-end box is absolutely utterly and totally useless to you. Buy a separate AV amp and separate Blu-ray player. |
