RIP Gerry Anderson.

From his Son Jamie Anderson...

I’m very sad to announce the death of my father, Thunderbirds creator, Gerry Anderson. He died peacefully in his sleep at midday today (26th December 2013), having suffered with mixed dementia for the past few years. He was 83.

I knew he had dementia diagnosed a while back, but it's sad that he's left us so soon.

He was a genius with what he did.

What a sad loss, I loved Thunderbirds & still do I can remember when Thunderbirds started I missed the first part because it was split for the news at 6pm, But for me like has just been said on BBC News 24 by the head of Fanderson it's the end of the first episode " Trapped In The Sky" that does it for me every time, I can see me watching the last episode of Thunderbirds tonight I have on Blu-ray " Give Or Take A Million" where brains makes it snow on the island oh ok I'm just a big kid

Very sad. Along with Quincy the other day. Both were biggish parts of my viewing when younger. Such a shame.
