Was looking at that for my Father, but, he likes his sport and as that's only 50Hz it might have a bit of motion blur, so I'm not so sure.......I can't find any net reviews and most of the references are in Russian.
that said, it does look a bargain.

Mine was just delivered today! I bought it Christmas Day, mid-afternoon. No delivery charge, although they give you the wait time of 7-7, I'm not complaining for not paying extra!. Was easy to assemble and so far so good - I've not bought a tv in years so was an exciting purchase for me.

Thanks guys. Got mine this evening. Absolutely love it, what a beast! Freeview HD built in and watching Coldplay....don't even like them but this is stunning to see on such a big telly.

Well worth getting.

Only downpoint is the stand that came with it has impossible screws

If it helps, I've not noticed any bluring. I am a newbie to this kind of big HD telly, but I've not seen any problems with fast moving pictures.

I have noticed the set has only 2 HDMI inputs which won't be enought for a lot of people who have sky hd , blu ray player, x box , laptop etc ..it bugs me that their are a lot of TV's on the market still with just 2 HDMI inputs , wonder how long it will be before we see at least 3 in every sized set ?

So there is a good chance it will still be on sale on Monday, since that is new years eve?

Really want this telly and don't want to miss out on the sale.

no problem watching sport on it, no blur on it. it is a great tv. the only problem i have is trying to register the guarantee with LG. when you enter the model number on the web site, it doesnt exist ?

Currys have a habit of sourcing 'exclusive' sets - these are a normal TV model with the model number altered slightly (usually an extra letter or the number increased by one). This is to prevent you comparing prices with other retailers, as no one else has the same model number, even though they have the exact same TV's.

This would explain why it's not recognised on the LG site, as it's not an LG number, it's a Currys one.

Nope. LG list it as is in Eastern europe and it's on offer at several UK sites under the same number.......It was mainly sold in Europe originally I believe....On LG site (Finland)

I have finally decided to change my massive old CRT TV, but don't have much idea what to get.
I saw this TV in Curry's and was tempted. How does it compare to the Samsung UE40ES5500 ?

Received mine from PC World on Sun 30th Dec.Easy set up but not happy with too much motion slur. This appears to be common.Have 7 days under the distant selling policy to return it.Need to give it some thought.

Still being sold at this price. I'm considering it but would like to know does it have USB recording feature?
