We've had 2 Tassimo machines, the original and then had an upgrade special offer to the Bosch machine.
We do like the Tassimo alot and used to buy loads of packets: Cafe Crema, Suchards, Twinings Tea, Capachino, Latte Macchiato and the odd different varieties from the website that you don't see in the supermarket.
Our new favourite is the Chai Latte, but over the last couple of years we've not used it as much due to the cost of the packets so it was just the odd treat now and then, but recently our machine has been relegated to the garage.

Where do you get your Tim Hortons T-Discs from? And if anyone is interested, the Costa range of discs are currently on offer in Tesco and Sainsbury's.

I've just got a Tassimo machine and have been trying the Costa varieties, which taste good. The only thing is, I noticed that when I removed the latte milk disc after it had finished brewing, there was still some milk left in it. Not loads, but enough! Has anyone else noticed this? I suppose I could always press the manual + button to get a bit more.

Can you get decent fairtrade coffee in the pods?

I got them when I went home over X-mas (I'm from Toronto) I stock up on my food stuff whenever I visit the motherland.

I know about Timmies and I've never even been to Canada. :O I know a lot of people who have, though.

I doubt very much if you will get fairtrade coffee in pods. i think fairtrade is a bit of a swiz anyway, and a lot of it taste yuk for some reason.

I got one of these a few days ago, the T40, via the Costa card promotion where I was offered one for £30. I'm loving it so far and have already got the full Costa range and this morning also got a pack of Kenco Colombian which I wil probably try with breakfast tomorrow. I'm usually much more of a tea drinker but do enjoy special coffees such as latte and capuchino.

It's just as well I still enjoy tea because if I used this machine all the time it could get expensive, but is good for the odd special cup of coffee and it's fun trying the different varieties available for the Tassimo.

I live in a hard water area and my Tassimo machine doesn't seem to process properly any more.

Put simply, nowhere near enough water reaches the cup. The amount of liquid that comes out is maybe 50% of what was produ8ced when the machine was brand new.

In hindsight, I should kept a water filter next to the machine and I would recommend Tassimo owners with similarly hard water should do just that.

Has anyone got any suggestions on how I might successfully de-scale the Tassimo machine without damaging it or tainting the water?

I used a descaler that I bought in tesco - £1.50 for 3 sachets - and it did the job no problem. I think the branded descaler tablets are very expensive so I would definately recommend a cheaper alternative.

I have a filter water tap fitted to my sink. We got it off ebay for about £20 including one filter and its really easy to fit - my OH did it in about half an hour. Now we have filtered water literally on tap. I think using this helps to keep the Tassimo working better for longer.

I really like the carte noire cappuccino's, they are only a medium cup full though which to me is quite small. I've tried the Costa latte and I'm not as keen. I find they actually aren't strong enough. I know latte's are milky but most are a bit stronger than these. I'm not keen on the carte noire latte's either as I think they're too sweet.

What is the cafe crema? Is that just a black coffee?

I use those same de-scaler tablets - and they work really well.
I then run the entire de-scaler programme a second time, just with plain water to ensure I don't any chemical residue in my drink! Maybe I'm just a little paranoid - but the first time I used them I ran the cleaning programme afterwards four or five times but could still taste something odd.

The tassimo should warn you when it needs descaling, i just use a normal kettle/coffee maker descaler and it does the trick.

Just having a nice espresso now from the tassimo before I go to work.

How many pods are included in the package when you buy the machine?

I use a Brita water filter, but still run the descaling program when the machine advises to.
Some Bosch descaling tablets came with my machine which is what they do recommend, but I just used Oust!

My mum received her Tassimo T65 today. I know it sounds stupid but she doesn't drink coffee but loves hot chocolate so wanted the machine for chocolate and for visitors to have a decent cup of coffee.

I called to set the machine up. There were no free samples but I had picked up a pack of Cadburys hot chocolate. We tried the first cup, added some more liquid as there didn't seem to be a lot in the cup it tasted too creamy. Neither of us liked it. Tried a second cup, didn't add any more liquid to the chocolate,again too creamy. Neither of us were impressed.

At home I normally use a cafetiere or get my coffee machine out.

Has anyone else got some recommendations/tips please...

EDIT: Just wanted to add there were no free pods or a promotion leaflet to buy some direct from Tassimo at a discounted price in the package.

I got myself a box of the Cadbury's chocolate and like you was not that impressed with it. TBH, unless you are going to make full uyse of the machine, like trying out coffee and other drinks, then it is a waste of money.

The machine is primarily a coffee machine, that can be used for other drinks.

you got to register the machine online to get anything from them, I got a discount on my drinks, not sure what they do now.

I wasn't too keen on the Cadburys, Milka was ok, much prefer Suchards, but it seems you can only get Suchards Tassimo pods online as none of my local supermarkets stock then anymore

T4 Tassimo machine, 1 pack of Costa Americano, 1 pack of Cost Cappuccino, 1 Costa cup and saucer for £39.99 plus £5 P&P.
Must say I'm quite tempted to take this up even though I've already got a machine, though the wife's not too keen on the idea.

i saw them in Sainsburys here in Norwich. I like the Chai Latte the only thing with the Tassimo machine is I would like the drink to be a lot hotter.
