HI, I hope some of you very helpful peopIe can help with a little problem for me.

I got Nessun11 is first mobile phone for Christmas, he is over the moon. It is a ZTE KIS. However, I have downloaded some music on to it, but it won't play.

It keeps coming up with the message: "sorry this player does not support this type of audio file."

Does anyone have any clues as what to do?

Go to the google play store and download a music player like Rocket music player.

Or if you want to pay for one then download poweramp.

What format is the music? Is it protected? Tried a different player? There are quite few free ones to try.

Hi Psionic

Thanks for replying. This is the first time I have used an Android phone, so you will have to bear with me. I wouldn't have the first clue as to how to use a different player.

The format is WMA, if that helps.

Do you have a google account?

If you do log in on the phone or create one on the phone. to do this find the icon that says either "Market" or "Play" on it.

Click on the "play" icon and then search for "Rocket player"

download it and install.

Open it then play the music.

As Jabbamk says, download Rocket Music player as he suggests. wma is typically a Windows format for music files and the stock music player included with your phone plays standard files like mp3. Rocket supports wma.

I'll give that a try, but wouldn't be easier for me to convert the WMA files to MP3 on my desktop?

You can do that. But its a hassle. I'm guessing you has an iphone before?

Just download the new music player and then you can play ANY media format

I can recommend Power Amp.

I had Rocket Player and it was very good but Power Amp sounds better (even though I was dubious).

Mark, did you try out the preset i recommended in your previous thread? Did it suit your music?

Thank you all for taking the time to reply, it was very helpful; all this techie stuff is usually a mystery to me.

However, I managed to fiddle around a bit and reloaded the music he wanted, into MP3 format. All music CDs are ripped by Media Player and all I had to do was change the format to what I wanted the music to be ripped to and Robert was my mother's brother.

Again, thank you all for your very valuable time.

Hi there,

Sorry I did not see the reply as it dropped off the top of the threads.

I will have a look although I am really liking Power Amp.

Mark.
