When I download using u torrent on android it goes very slow (about 10 kb/s) so I tried the same torrent on my pc and it was about 400kb/s then I noticed also on my phone it was 400kb/s so I stopped the pc but then the phone slowed down again.

Yours faithfully,
Confused

Are you using wifi or mobile data? mobile networks throttle bit torrent traffic right down.

maybe because of limited hardware resources of a mobile its capping the number of hosts it connects to ?

Are there any settings in utorrent to play around with ?

There aren't many settings, just to change the listening port and have an upload/download limit.

Why would it cap the number of hosts it connects to only when the computer is not downloading and then remove the caps when the computer is downloading?

I think it's something to do with my router not allowing a connection by the phone to the hosts, which the pc can break through and when it does the phone can also get through. Ijust don't know what.

Your phone and PC will have their own IP addresses when connected to your router. It could be worthwhile checking your router settings and maybe moving your phone in to the DMZ (outside of any built in firewall your router may have).
