Fudd - I think it might be wise to introduce a cut-off point for confirming the weekly winner, so any result announced before the cut-off point, is provisional (and described as such), and subsequently becomes confirmed once that cut-off point passes.
Similarly, if some important ratings are still unavailable when the cut-off point comes around, they are discarded, and the winner is decided on the basis of whatever ratings are available at that time. None of this would mean you having to publish the final update at the time of the cut-off point. It would just mean you would only use the ratings which were available at the cut-off time. With the current system, you could do the final update at 5pm, then receive a missing rating at 8pm and have to change the final table, than you could receive another missing rating the next morning and have to do the table yet again.

I would suggest that the weekly winner is announced on a Tuesday update if any of the 15 mains are still outstanding, then if the Sunday (or any day) ratings are not available by 11:59pm Monday - allow any back-ups come in to play.
Also if any mains are not reported, could a Monday request be made in the ratings thread, I understand Fudd already does this on occasion. |

![]() . It's better having as many of the actual non-backup programmes contributing to the points so it made sense to amend the scores once you found out the rating. Congratulations to remy on your win .

Week Ten: Wednesday Update
- Mayday (4.3m) averaged 0.8 points. No 5ers were scored. - The Flying Scotsman: A Railway Romance (1.8m) averaged 3.2 points. AnthonyC, Green Steel, johnnymc, Jonwo and RyanM93 all steamed away with 5ers. - Broadchurch (6.2m) averaged 1.8 points. Dancc and Jules1 both picked up 5ers. - Manchester United: Munich Air Crash (0.9m) averaged 3.1 points. David Anderson, DimSum, dullagj2, johnnymc, Lion_60, RyanM93 and rzt all scored 5ers. - Live UEFA Champions League (SPECIAL - 9.1m) averaged 0.0 points with everyone massively under-predicting. - A Fish Called Wanda (BACKUP) has not been reported as of yet. - The Crash (BACKUP - 0.5m) averaged 3.5 points. Georged123, grahamzxy, johnnymc, Jonwo, PeteIsGod, Roscoe Barnes and rzt all claimed 5ers. The current leader of the week is johnnymc. The overall leaderboard looks like this: Code:
Main All 1 johnnymc.............. 14 19 2 rzt.................... 12 17 3 Dancc.................. 12 15 = DimSum................. 12 15 = Lion_60................ 12 15 = RyanM93................ 12 15 7 David Anderson...... 11 14 = Green Steel............ 11 14 = Jules 1................ 11 14 10 Georged123............. 10 15 = Roscoe Barnes.......... 10 15 12 AnthonyC............... 10 13 = dullagj2............... 10 13 = NeilVW.............. 10 13 = Pizzatheaction......... 10 13 = remy................... 10 13 17 Jonwo.................. 9 14 18 Dar W.................. 9 12 = guestofseth............ 9 12 20 grahamzxy.............. 7 12 21 eterry21............... 7 10 22 linnylou.............. 6 8 23 Fudd................... 4 7 24 zsb37105qtyz....... 4 6 25 Yugimuto1.......... 1 4 26 PeteIsGod.............. 0 5 * All main points were claimed on Monday with the football over-performing which results in johnnymc taking an early lead. * Tonight sees two more mains come into play - will we be more accurate with these? * The Tuesday failure does not bode well with the final two specials; surely we'll have more luck with the Europa League and FA Cup? * Good luck with tonight's predictions!

RATINGS GAME IDEA
Write Your Own Schedule Instead of solely predicting ratings, players could also have to make their own schedule and try to achieve the highest ratings for their schedule in some weeks (one to start off with) of each season. Each week could, but not necessarily, have a theme like a specific audience or a drama-only schedule which has to be adhered to. Rules As with some weeks of the ratings predictions game, the schedule must be submitted by private message to me. This allows people not to nick other people's scheduling ideas. The schedule cannot contain two shows which air in the slot The schedule must contain one soap opera only. Each schedule must contain four programmes (one main, three specials) which will be revealed on the usual schedule-published day. The Player who achieved the most points for the pre-ordained (four) programmes at the end of the week will earn an additional score to their season points tally. The Player who scores the highest number of points from their schedule will earn additional points to their season score. Due to the range of programming involved I'll have to try and get trial access to overnights TV if this is given the nod. I'll go with the majority with this; it sounds intriguing to me so let me know what you think. Thanks to eterry21 for the idea and if anyone else has thoughts to freshen up the game, please do not hesitate to PM me.

Yep, I think you have enough hard work to do with admin for this game without having to re-do tables when an extra rating becomes available.I honestly don't know how anyone copes with all the admin work for the game. I usually take ages just to draw up a schedule. |
