RATINGS GAME IDEA

Write Your Own Schedule
Instead of solely predicting ratings, players could also have to make their own schedule and try to achieve the highest ratings for their schedule in some weeks (one to start off with) of each season.

Each week could, but not necessarily, have a theme like a specific audience or a drama-only schedule which has to be adhered to.

Rules

As with some weeks of the ratings predictions game, the schedule must be submitted by private message to me. This allows people not to nick other people's scheduling ideas.

The schedule cannot contain two shows which air in the slot

The schedule must contain one soap opera only.

Each schedule must contain four programmes (one main, three specials) which will be revealed on the usual schedule-published day.

The Player who achieved the most points for the pre-ordained (four) programmes at the end of the week will earn an additional score to their season points tally.

The Player who scores the highest number of points from their schedule will earn additional points to their season score.

Due to the range of programming involved I'll have to try and get trial access to overnights TV if this is given the nod. I'll go with the majority with this; it sounds intriguing to me so let me know what you think.

Thanks to eterry21 for the idea and if anyone else has thoughts to freshen up the game, please do not hesitate to PM me.

PS. And remember to make your predictions for WEEK ELEVEN!

I am pretty low down the table due to several near misses (0.1-0.3m away).....but still with a chance of catching up.

Does sound like a pretty interesting idea, not sure how well it would work though - but I guess we'll never know until we try it!

Actually, when you said you were going to announce a new idea for the game, I guessed it would be something along these lines.

On the subject of game ideas, I have one I'd like Fudd to strongly consider as well...

DANCC'S GAME IDEA (click to reveal)

Spoiler
End the season early at the end of this week. Then you don't have to delay any changes you want to make with the +1s and the schedules. You know it makes sense. (no ulterior motive here at all)

A few questions

What if a live programme is selected and it overruns into another show timeslot?
Does 'Soaps' mean CS, EM & EE - or also Waterloo Road, Casualty, Holby etc??
What if the same shows are already on the schedule for that week??
