What absolute carp!

I was given a shop bought copy of Dark Knight Rises on BluRay by my kids for Christmas. Is states on back "instantly stream and download now!. I followed all the instructions to the letter to use their UltraViolet rights management system, I had to register for Flixster along the way, then register for UV, then enter a redemption code, all very time consuming but I did it all

Now when I log in tomy UV acccount I can only stream the movie and the download button is greyed out!

WTF! I have watched the film on my BD player, great! but I want to take a copy with me on my tablet. The blurb on back of disk says "Watch your movies on a broad range of devices" but I can't download it!

I went to the UV web-site typed up all the above and more in their technical support on line page, and when I clicked Submit, the page timed out!

What carp

Any ideas forum?

I really dont get this at all. If I buy a film on blu ray then whenever I want to see it I will want to watch it on my tv. Why would I want to watch it again on a laptop, I pad, mobile phone in wetherspoons, starbucks, on the bus home or whatever! When it says watch it anywhere as if you will buy a film and keep watching it three times a day for years to come. No I will watch a film no more than three times a year and will want to watch it properly each time. So i really dont see the point in this digital copy at all.

You need to login to Flixster via web browser(maybe via PC/Laptop), select Ultraviolet link, select or search for movie and enter code you got inside the case.
Either select My Movies via that page or open Flixster App and then select My Movies which will show what's in your library.
Then you can either stream or download.

When I used to work away I used to take my portable DVD player with me and a selection of DVDs which isn't always practical so having a device where I could watch a digital copy would of been ideal.
Same goes for when on a plane going on holiday. The last time I went to Greece I ripped a load of DVDs and put them on my PSP. If I'd of had digital copies then that would of saved all that time ripping the discs to my PC.
Granted digital copies are not for everyone, but they've certainly got their uses if you wish to use them and its not like they cost you any extra if you don't want to use them.
My daughter bought a some DVDs from HMV yesterday on their 2 for £10 offer which had ultraviolet codes which she gave me the codes so now I've got Sherlock Holmes Game of Shadows & Dark Shadows if and when I choose to watch them at my convenience.
