Nah he could always get out of it by blaming timey wimey stuff and she(river)would understand. I hope he doesnt get all romantic with clara as we have seen all that with rose.

I would like it if he was the smitten kitten for once, and she was keeping him at arms length. That would make a refreshing change!

I'm hoping its like Martha to be honest, only the other way round. Clara giving off the signs but doesn't want to be romantically linked with him, but he fancies her. It would be a nice change.

I tend to think that in his time line she has gone to the library. Doesn't mean we can't see her again but I think her story is largely told and his a widower for a second? time.

Does she see it that way? In 'Manhatten' she was acting very wife-like and referring to him as her husband.
Though I would be glad to move on from the Ponds now to be honest. They seemed to have a very heavy, sometimes oppressive, energy in the show, if that makes any sense (I really need to go to sleep!) Clara is a long cool drink of water by comparison. |

Well from Rivers POV, she was married to the doctor when they met in Big Bang, doesn't stop her flirting with anyone or pointing out she dated a Nestene duplicate once...

Technically he married a dead person - in his timeline she'd already died in the library.

I really don't care to be honest. I like River but I'm getting fed up of certain fans acting like her relationship with the Doctor is the be all and end all of the show at times.

Well, it has been pretty central. For all of series 6, in fact. So it's a bit odd (though not unexpected) for it all to be forgotten about now that a new idea has taken centre stage.

Remember the times he was told not to be alone twice by Amy once by River herself ?. Ok but it works both ways. Would he really be happy with River actually sleeping with instead of just flirting with or even falling in love with other men?. Think Jack and her would have real fireworks if they ever met.
Get the prison thing but why not be together now?. They should have comforted eachother through their loss.Maybe they will have a big romantic reconcilliation just before the library...

A pond is smaller than a river but a wave is higher.

All times are GMT +1. The time now is 22:44.

The timeline confuses me, when does she die?
