Anyone streaming music/video from their local PC?
I want an android media (video and mp3) player app that can access my Desktop computer/ Windows media player via wi-fi, just like my PS3 and my laptop do
Strangely enough the music player that came with my Samsung Tab 2 10.1" does - but it doesn't sort them in any particular order which makes the 4573289471238461237 tracks unplayable Anyone streaming music/video from their local PC? Google Music (also on my tab) talks like it does - but i cant find out how |

I sometimes stream music and videos from my PC to my Motorola Xoom, but I do it by navigating to the network share with a file explorer like ES File Explorer and then opening the file with something like BS Player.
The android file explorers don't seem to see network shares easily though, you have to know the IP address of the computer or device and set up the server manually on the tablet, which is a bit annoying. Somebody else probably knows a neater way. |

I'm trying a 7 day free version of VPlayer. It works ok but doesn't look very nice, no album art etc. I'm not sure that I'll pay for the full version. Tried with Nexus 7 and Kindle Fire HD, works slightly better on the Kindle.

windows 7 up with WMP12 support DLNA fully. you just need to turn it on.
