Vodafone sim cards with £10 credit?

I've bought a couple of Pay and go phones over the past couple of months and both had to be purchased with £10 credit, they are of no use to me as I have a contract sim, I take it the £10 credit is put on the sim cards provided? Can I sell these sims on eBay or something?
