So ranking closed last night and the votes have been totted up.

Tonight I will begin the count down of the 114 acts as ranked by you from series 1-9. The rankings have 13 new entries from last year and will include some stats, facts and my opinions on the acts

I have also included a Ranking History, which shows were the acts have ranked throughout the years that the rankings have been running and also a comparative % of how they have done compared to last year

Feel free to join in talk and discuss the rankings as they are counted down.

For those forgetting where they ranked acts, the voting thread is here: http://forums.digitalspy.co.uk/showthread.php?t=1755387

Other than the obvious new entries, it will be interesting to see how Olly and One Direction have done. It's been big years for them.

114 [100] = Emily Nakanda (Series 4) = 1211pts
Ranking History (X-44-55-69-85-100-114)
Ranking Performance (-0.99%)

Last year Emily managed to take a small climb and managed 2nd last, this year however she drops 14 places to become the lowest ranked contestant. It was very close between the bottom 2 and the last run of votes actually made the bottom 2 very exciting, however the late run of votes wasn't enough to push her clear of the bottom spot. She is most notorious for withdrawing from the competition after 3 weeks due to footage of her happy slapping someone came to light. Her withdrawal/ removal meant Sharon was left with just 1 act by week 4 of the competition. Emily was the first act out of only 3 in XF history to be removed/ leave of their own accord.

113 [NE] = Christopher Maloney (Series 9) = 1296pts
Ranking History (X-X-X-X-X-X-113)
Ranking Performance (N/A)

This is the first of 13 new entries on the ranking this year and Chris manages to just escape becoming the bottom ranked act. He was voted in as the wilcard and managed to stay in until the Final 3. He gained somewhat of a cult following on DS and of course various threads dedicated to MeNan. Chris got a huge amount of bottom rankings towards the end of the voting whilst he started out well enough, I would guess had the vote lasted longer he probably would've ended up bottom of the pile. This entry means he is Gary Barlow's lowest ranked act, the lowest ranked Over 28 and the lowest ranked act of Series 9.

112 [94] = Jonjo Kerr (Series 8) = 1347pts
Ranking History (X-X-X-X-94-112)
Ranking Performance (-5.18%)

Next up and taking dive in the rankings is Jonjo who now becomes the lowest ranked act of Series 8 (below Frankie). He debuted in the bottom 10 last year and like a few of the new entries from last year he hasn't stood up well year on year. IMO Jonjo got as far as he did because of his backstory. He didn’t have the strongest voice however managed to get through to the first live shows this year. He picked his own song choice and Louis Walsh clearly had issues with him, he subsequently wasn't picked to go through and was eliminated in Week 1 . He received a huge amount of low rankings and just a few good rankings, his drop means he becomes Louis Walsh's lowest ranked act (2 to Go will be please)

111 [101] = Frankie Cocozza (Series 8) = 1351pts
Ranking History (X-X-X-X-X-101-111)
Ranking Performance +2.63)

So I guess everyone was wondering where he had got to, despite being in the bottom 5, Frankie takes a climb in the rankings, he is no longer the lowest ranked act, the lowest ranked Gary Bawlow Act or the lowest ranked act of Series 8. He was actually going to take a bigger climb, but a bout of bottom rankings saw him settle at 101.Frankie was a very marmite act and whilst I don’t think he had the strongest voice I think he’s off stage antics and weird song choices overshadows how he sung in his first audition and at bootcamp. Since leaving the show, Frankie appeared on Celebrity Big Brother where he managed to finish in 2nd place, he has also released an EP onto Itunes which went top into the 20, however missed the top 100 on the official chart.

110 [99] = 2 to Go (Series 1) = 1524pts
Ranking History (30-42-57-68-82-99-110)
Ranking Performance (+1.53%)

Last Year 2 to Go dropped back into the bottom 3 once more, however this year they manage to take a slight climb and place just inside the bottom 5. With this climb, they finally manage to shake off being Louis Walsh's lowest ranked act, however remain the lowest ranked group and the lowest ranked act of series 1. 2 to Go have never really performed well in the rankings and usually features in the bottom section of people’s lists.

109 [85] = Nu Vibe (Series 8) = 1594pts
Ranking History (X-X-X-X-X-85-109)
Ranking Performance (-11.45%)

Taking a massivie dive in the rankings are Nu Vibe who just manage to miss a place in the bottom 5. They are the third act from Series 8 to make an appearance and for a second year running are Tulisa's lowest ranked act and the lowest ranked group of Series 8. Going into the lives Nu Vive seemed to be by far the biggest supported group; however this all seemed to go wrong with their performances in the live shows. They didn’t seem to be gelling as a group and some dire staging/ song choices saw them thrown under the bus In week 2 after the graveyard slot + being bottom 2 against Frankie. The group has subsequently split with Ashford going into the Risk.

108 [98] = Addictiv Ladies (Series 2) = 1639pts
Ranking History (31-43-54-66-84-98-108)
Ranking Performance (+2.29%)

Last Year Addictiv Ladies managed a small climb up the rankings and this year they continue to rise and dip just 10 places with 12 new entries still to comb. They remain as Simon Cowell’s lowest ranked act and the lowest ranked act from Series 2. For me they never lived up to their audition and each subsequent performance got steadily worse. They faced Chico in the first sing off of Series 2 and were swiftly eliminated from the competition. The last few years they have been in the bottom 5 acts and this year they manage quite alot better.

107 [97] = 4Sure (Series 3) = 1649pts
Ranking History (25-40-50-56-72-97-107)
Ranking Performance (-+2.18%)

Last Year 4Sure took a huge drop in the rankings, this year they recover slightly and climb out of the bottom 5 acts. They do however remain the lowest ranked group from series 3 and the lowest ranked series 3 act. I think the slight problem with 4Sure is that they are quite bland and forgettable as an act. They managed to get to Week 2 of the competition before being eliminated. For the 6th year running they lose the 4Sure/4Tune battle.

106 [93] = Daniel Evans (Series 5) = 1710pts
Ranking History (X-X-51-59-74-93-106)
Ranking Performance (-0.90%)

A small drop for Series 5's Daniel who remains as the lowest ranked Dannii Minogue act and the lowest ranked act of Series 5. Again like Jonjo he almost certainly got picked for the lives due to his back story and over some far better Over 25 Vocalists that year. He lasted a heck of a long time in the competition, even outlasting Austin and Laura! However his time came against Rachel in Week 6 whereupon he was ousted from the competition.

105 [87] = Kandy Rain (Series 6) = 1712pts
Ranking History (X-X-X-57-77-87-105)
Ranking Performance (-5.97%)

Last year they took a rise, this year they take a fall in the rankings, either way however they remain as the lowest ranked act of series 6. Kandy Rain weren’t featured too greatly in the run up to the lives, were given the graveyard slot, they were heavily criticised by Cheryl and Dannii for the way they dressed and polled the lowest amount of votes that week. The band were never really given a chance, however going on all the clips that were seen they weren't great vocalists anyway so their early elimination wasn't a huge loss.

104 [76] = Storm Lee (Series 7) = 1904pts
Ranking History (X-X-X-X-59-76-104)
Ranking Performance (-16.73%)

Last year Storm took a big fall, this year its even bigger and ends up as not only the lowest ranked Over from Series 7, but also the lowest ranked act from that year, overtaking Wagner in both. I think you could argue strongly that Storm was completely thrown under the bus by the producers/ Cowell due to his bizarre make over, song choices and general styling. The audience didn’t buy into it and in the 2nd double elimination he was quickly kicked out of the competition.

103 [83] = The MacDonald Brothers (Series 3) = 1907pts
Ranking History (17-33-43-63-65-83-103)
Ranking Performance (-8.17%)

As with Storm, last year the MacDonald Brothers took a big fall, this year their fall is even bigger and drop out of the top 100. They lasted until the final 4 of Series 3 despite constant criticisms and weird song choices – they became the top placed group that year, they don’t manage the same feat here though and are only the 3rd highest group once more, being beaten by The Unconventionals and Eton Road.

102 [82] = Scott Bruton (Series 5) = 2950pts
Ranking History (X-X-48-53-73-82-102)
Ranking Performance (-8.28%)

Last year, Scott took a decent climb in the rankings, this year however as with a few others, he has taking a big hit and this years becomes the lowest ranked 16-24 Male from Series 5; this accolade is usually reserved for Eoghan on this forum and is the first time in 5 years that Eoghan has managed to be in front of Scott. Scott is most notorious for his awful rendition of ‘Yeah’ in the first week of Series 5 and the sympathy vote carried him into the top 2 of the vote that week. . He managed to stay until week 3 though before losing out to Daniel in the sing off as Louis cried.

I am here! Glad to see John Joe, Emily, Scott Bruton and 4Sure so low - they were all seriously rubbish.

Suprised to see MacDonald Bros so low - they were all right!

101 [89] = 4Tune (Series 2) = 1913pts
Ranking History (26-37-45-47-71-89-101)
Ranking Performance (-0.48%)

After taking a tumble last year, 4Tune basically stand still in the rankings and managed to win the 4-Battle. 4Tune as a group may have been ahead of their time and really were a bit JLSy in style, and really I think should’ve stayed in Series 2 a bit longer. I think possibly their undoing was some uninspiring song choices from Mr Cowell. They made it to Week 2 of the competition before being eliminated against Chenai.

100 [96] = Philip Magee (Series 2) = 1945pts
Ranking History (28-45-56-67-83-96-100)
Ranking Performance (+7.33%)

Last year saw Philip climb out of the bottom 5 for the first time since the rankings began and this year he registers a massive climb up the rankings to give him his best position to date (previous to this year it was 6th from bottom). He remains still as the lowest ranked 16-24 Act of Series 2. In his time Philip has been the lowest ranked act, so he is really improving in the rankings each year. Philip gave some quite bizarre performances in his 3 week stint on the show and after facing the one and only Chico in the bottom 2, Cowell and Osborne sent him packing.

4 Tune were good, and a nice looking bunch of lads with lots of potential, as you say Yohinn sort of an older JLS. I think they might be so low, as not many remember them but they were not bad and might have faired a lot better in later years.

99 [91] = Eoghan Quigg (Series 5) = 1951pts
Ranking History (X-X-40-62-81-91-99)
Ranking Performance (+3.26%)

As with Philip, last year Eoghan took a climb, this year he continues to climb up the chart; in 2010 he was in the bottom 5, last year he managed to just climb out of the bottom 10, this year however he is clear of the very bottom of the chart. He also climbs past Scott and is no longer the lowest ranked Male from that year. Eoghan managed to make the final of Series 5 – topping the votes nearly every week I think he did outstay his welcome somewhat, which I think usually always is reflected in his ranking.

98 [95] = Verity Keays (Series 1) = 1956pts
Ranking History (33-36-53-61-80-95-98)
Ranking Performance (+8.09%)

Continuing the trend, Verity takes a big climb up the rankings and after 3 consecutive years, is no longer the lowest ranked Over 25 overall; she does retain the title of being the lowest ranked Over 25 of Series 1 though. IMO Verity came across as a nice person, however was given very big songs for her voice and her limitations really showed in the lives. I think a lot of why she got the lives was because Simon felt a bit sorry for her.

97 [80] = Rikki Loney (Series 6) = 2070pts
Ranking History (X-X-X-48-76-80-97)
Ranking Performance (-5.88%)

After a big climb last year, Rikki takes a tumble in the rankings and for a third consecutive year is Cheryl Coles lowest ranked act. He also retains the title of lowest ranked 16-24 Male of Series 6, being beaten by both Joe and Lloyd. Often referred to as ‘the guy with the eyebrow’ Rikki managed to last 2 live shows before facing Rachel in the sing off. Personally I didn’t really mind Rikki, however it was clear that there were better singers in the boys category that year.

Ranking History (X-X-36-52-75-79-96)
Ranking Performance (-5.99%)

Like Rikki, Girlband take a drop in the rankings; they reamin as the lowest ranked group of series 5 for a fourth consecutive year. Girlband were eliminated in Week 2 of the competition after a deadlock vote against Ruth. However they managed to see of Badlashes in the Week 1 sing off however didn't get any rebound vote to see them through to the following week.

Ranking History (X-27-46-46-69-84-95)
Ranking Performance (-0.16%)

Futureproof basically stand still in the rankings, however remain the lowest ranked Group of Series 4. They were the first X Factor manufactured boyband and lasted until week 3 when they faced off the manufactured Girlband Hope. Both groups were favorites at the start of the lives – however they obviously just never connected with the public and were bottom 2 against each other in Week 3. Since the show, one of the members of Futureproof; Vince managed to get to the final of the Voice UK and finished in fourth place.
