i got my fresh new T-Mobile sim in the post today, opened the envelope and stuck the sim in my Nokia 7250i...

but when i try to phone it, all i get is a pre-recorded message saying: "You have dialled an incorrect number, please check the number and redial" (it repeats itself over & over), yet... when i phone from it, it works fine

Check with 1471 that the number you are dialling is the number that corresponds to the sim.

Ring T-Mobile and get them to update your sim.

Make an outgoing call

Switch the phone on/off

Also dial 454545 to deactivate that caller tune because that causes lots of problems too.
