The humour if that's what you call it is desperate at the best of times. There are only so many times you can laugh at someone braking the forth wall and swearing in an Irish accent. Don't even get me started on them protracted heart felt moments

It's a marmite comedy, I find people either love it or hate it. I do enjoy as it reminds me of some of my extended family

I attempted to watch it as people i knew were raving about it. I hated it and i was having to force myself to laugh.

It's fine that people enjoy it, but im not one of them.

It's harmless enough, it seems to be something that is either hated or liked which is fine. But I don't know why so many threads are created by those who hate it, I mean I hate the x factor so I just don't watch it. I don't create a thread moaning about it.

Why would you think you would be the ONLY one?

The second episode over Xmas was as you describe. I will not be watching any more, it put me right off.

We had to watch it on Christmas Eve cos Mother In Law was staying over and she likes it. Was quietly horrified how awful it was

No, you're not alone. I live in Ireland and if I want to see a Mrs Brown type, I just need to walk up the road. I really don't need to see 'her' on TV as well!

I can't bear it. It reminds me of a vulgar Old Mother Riley. What is a man doing dressing up as an old woman in today's comedy???

On an internet forum, your very unlikely to be the only person who hates a tv show, particuarly one like MBB (I happen to love it)

Because the viewing figures are 62,640,999 of course.

I don't like it either and its not a swear word issue.

I loved the thick of it but the swearing in that was used in a much funnier way.

My Mother put it on during Boxing Day, one joke in I left the room in disgust of how crap it was, my mum was laughing her head off though so not everyone cup of tea I guess.

I watched it for the first time on Christmas Eve to see what all the fuss was about and must admit that I don't find it funny at all.

I've never understood the appeal. Says it all about the people who do find it funny.

I've watched afew episodes and I just don't get it at all. I think it will appeal to those with Irish blood. My grandad is Irish so my aunty and nan love it. The humour of it is lost on me!

Mother in law loves it though.
