Great behind-the-scenes photos of Matt and the lovely children on CF at Shrewsbury to be aired on tomorrow evening…

This story Matt covering is the only reason I am looking forward to watch CF live tomorrow. Otherwise, I’d catch his clips on iplayer instead as I have started losing my interests. Shaky start from GB men on today's team final; I was watching through my fingers! Bad news, they couldn't defend their Euro title; good news though, they managed to won silver and the best news was men’s junior team won gold. Epke had a cut on his right hand. Poor fella, he did great for his team. I’d love to hear Matt interviewing Mitch when Epke’s up on p-bar and h-bar. ![]() ![]() Is there any reason you're not liking Countryfile as much? I don't think it's changed in any way and I'm preferring it now it doesn't have a barely-engaged Julia (since maternity leave she didn't seem that into the show so I'm preferring Ellie). |

Nice pics there.
![]() Is there any reason you're not liking Countryfile as much? I don't think it's changed in any way and I'm preferring it now it doesn't have a barely-engaged Julia (since maternity leave she didn't seem that into the show so I'm preferring Ellie). The problem is I am not a core fan of CF you see. I didn’t know the existence of Countryfile until Matt joined in 2009. The fact is that it was Matt and Matt alone introduced Countryfile and Secret Britain to me. Without him there is no way I’d have become a regular viewer of CF. I do like watching Matt plus the quality of the stories he covers on CF but lacking either I can be easily get bored, distracted and impatient. Supposed that I have to wait to see 5-6 mins of his first clip after 15 mins the program started and then again to wait for 5-6 mins of 2nd clip before the weather forecast, I’d have lost my interest in it. And I noted that the recent CF episodes appeared sticking to this format. Changes for the need of change or the changes for sake of change itself, I don’t really care. I know he can only dedicate to CF filming right after Thursdays OS heading to the CF locations with his backpack and work until Friday evenings but to watch him making 10-12 mins appearances in the middle of the program doesn’t appeal me to watch it live if this format doesn’t go anywhere. And I cannot be that patient. I prefer to do something else you see so I’d be happily catching up his clips on iplayer instead. ![]() By the way, talking of Secret Bratian, there won’t be any SB2 that soon if we didn’t generate and share our ideas on here since 2012, dare I say. On the other notes, I think Julia was brave and decisive making the right decision at the right time. Her move left open door, giving an opportunity to others like Ellie to take over so I admired her for that.

Pics of Matt (in wows) from tonight OS. My eyes would withdraw if I see this kind of patterned shirt but I'd prefer to see this rather than flowery ones… http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m...260514-001.jpg http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m...260514-002.jpg http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m...260514-003.jpg http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m...260514-004.jpg http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m...260514-005.jpg http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m...260514-011.jpg One Show domino created by the experts looked incredible. Evening all Off all the evening you would have laid a bet the he would have been in a jumper or a jacket, he goes without. ![]() He did look good, lovely shirt with plenty of wow's and a very stubbly matt. The domino thing was good, nearly all off them went over. How scary for chris to have a stroke on a plane flying back to the uk. Good to see that he is well now. Quote:

Evening all matt had his jacket very buttoned up, must been a little bit chilly, at least it wasn't raining, looking good even if he was all wrapped up. ![]() Hank had fun on tos, joking and getting a few puns in. Quote:

Pics from tonight CF in Buckinghamshire, I almost switched off my telly as I have started losing interest in watching CF live since last 2 weeks but Matt’s soft tone of voice drew my full attention on the program. That's what I'd see him contributing as a key presenter not the hybrid one - not a presenter nor a participant. That's worth my time to watch it live.

Is his son not fit or that useful? And in a couple of occasions I noticed Matt’s sort of sharing the same or the similar shirts and jumpers with Adam. How comes that happen? I guess these might be promotional outfits for CF presenters or are those buy-one-get-one-free offers? By the way has anyone had a chance to listen to this radio interview with Matt a week ago? I missed that. I don't know where to look at anyway.https://fbcdn-sphotos-b-a.akamaihd.n...29110735_n.jpg Star of the one show and countryfile - Matt Baker talks "box hedges" with Phil McCann on Saturday Breakfast from 6am. Matt loves Countryfile - that much is obvious or he'd have moved on by now. It's his choice to only film one day on the show (he could quit The One Show or give up Saturdays to film more...) so he's never going to be the key presenter - he's at best one of the two lead presenters. And I think the show do a remarkable job of giving him as much time as they can - more on average than his filming availability should allow for. I think if you don't like watching Countryfile for the programme itself then you probably shouldn't watch live. You're inevitably going to be disappointed because Matt is never going to be on the screen most of the time - or even more than a quarter of the time. |
