Al seems to be spreading her wings recently, seems to be raising her profile extensively and of course will be presenting Tumble, the new show for celebrities (are there any still out there , willing to look silly in front of millions!)
Watching Welcome to Rio and the utter poverty, we don't know how lucky we are...... Well, just wanted to pop in to say thanks to our lovely posters! Sweet dreams to all bakerettes and readers on here! CCM xx , good on her but it was a choice that I’d have never come across in mind. I am not alone I reckon and it made me wonder when she has become a real fan of that sport. Zoe Ball as the ex-rhythmic gymnast and the host of some reality shows was in mind instead. I didn’t think it was Matt’s idea or designed for him either from the start as some of us expected and excited about it. I just simply thought it was one of the job creations for those retired/yet-to-retired sport professionals to help them get in the jobs. Think reality shows need an extra boost from those who would glamour up the shows, not necessarily to have had the background, experience, knowledge or hidden hobby/talents of the sport cos you can be taught as long as you are fit and well aware of H&S. In a certain period of time you would learn something about the sport like the celebs going to do it, can’t you? Anyway, unlike Bee, I am so relief that he is not going do it. He has now reassured me that I can have some me time to do my own stuff. (Sorry Bee.) If he let go his involvements in the sport at the European, World and Olympics levels for a reality show I won’t forgive him! Just a fighting talk, pls don’t take it seriously. Hee…hee… ![]() Quote:
Evening all
![]() Matt can bend it like beckham , he had being trying again today and got it in the back of the net, great celebration after he had done it ![]() Looking lovely in his jacket and white shirt with a few little wow's and nice stubble. A happy bunny tonight and two good guests with dara and nick. The tiger cubs were so cute. Great shot by matt, looks like he could of been a footballer as well, we need to stick him on a plane to join the England team fab pics emma. thanks ![]() http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m...110614-007.jpg http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m...110614-008.jpg …You see, he’s the king of samba with impeccable hip actions and impressive backflips (credit to Aliona for masterminding the perfect choreography of course) and he can bend it like Beckham. Btw talking of Beck, I saw him in wearing something similar to that of Matt jacket/waistcoat on his new show. I don’t watch it, just seen him in a pic.Yes, tiger cubs are so cute. Will you watch the program? I like to watch wildlife cameramen’s works too. They have taken lots of risks to get those incredible camera-shots that had never been seen on telly. I have some of their works recorded and just watched back ‘the Bear Family & Me’ which was great and the bears/polar-bears always remind me of Matt if you know what I mean. ![]() Quote:
Emma - thank you for the pics
. I was out for dinner and missed this - brilliant and Matt looks fab in that t-shirt

Glasgow 2014 BBC coverage on Gymnastics

I will miss all of weekday afternoon and part of some evening programs. No day off for me in the last week of July and 1st week of August. Always busy with the financial yearend every year. Typical! Hope they are available on iplayer later. Will watch Rhythmic gymnastics on Saturday, listening to Christine and Mitch’s commentary. Not sure Matt will present it. Wish he would. On other notes, I am gathering Matt’s 2012 Highlights at the moment and finished editing 4 hour and (nearly) 45 minutes of the live coverage of the Diamond Jubilee Thames Pageant into 6 clips. I'd actually get great 4 hours ripped off on DVDs. I did fanvids last year though a few clips of Matt were missing so I wasn't v happy. Now it’s a complete set of Matt clips plus I squeezed in some interesting information and the remarkable sights that I’d never witness to in my lifetime again and I am very happy with the outcomes. Brief descriptions of each clip below would give you some ideas of what you would see. Mainly Matt and Sophie in the studio as I did cut short the reports from the reporters they linked to apart from Paul Dickson's live commentary on some great sights I like to added. Hope you know what I mean. If you like to re-watch them again, here they are:The Diamond Jubilee~Thames Pageant Part 1 Matt’s voiceover to begin with also featuring introductory from Huw Edwards, Matt and Sophie; first link to Chris Holland; the arrival of Prince Charles and Duchess of Cornwall at the Chelsea Bridge; Prince Williams, Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry arrive at the Cadogan Pier; HM the Queen and DoE arrive at the Chelsea Bridge; their first guests Dr Anna Whitelock, the historian from the Royal University of London and Wesley Smith, former BBC royal correspondent join Matt and Sophie. The Diamond Jubilee~Thames Pageant Part 2 Featuring the order of a flotilla of 1000 vessels procession and the links to the reporters include John Barrowman on the barge carrying the Royal Jubilee bells, Angellica Bell at St Thomas Hospital, Tess Daly, Clare Balding on the Gloriana leading the manpower section, John Sergeant, Mishal Husain at the working boat section in Chelsea area. The Diamond Jubilee~Thames Pageant Part 3 Link to Anneka Rice at the Millennium Bridge also featuring the Royal Festival Hall, 24 gun solutes plus the solute from war horse Joey at the National Theatre while Paul Dickinson continues commentary; in the studio with Matt, Sophie and Dr Anna Whitelock again (due to technical problems lost Paul’s commentary); the rain was pouring down when the Tower Bridge being lifted; back to the studio just before they linked to Sandi Toksvig on a boat. Don’t miss out this clip on 12.38. Pay you attention to the voices. Matt was concerned about the toilet break and stuff like that for those rowers who had been out there on their boats since 10 O’clock in that morning. He did say it might sound silly to say. (I’d say that’s was very practical and from human perspectives. ) Dr Anna: That’s a big consideration! What do you do? M: Yeah. S: I don’t think we gonna go for that. M: You just have to cross-legged it. ![]() The Diamond Jubilee~Thames Pageant Part 4 Link back to Anneka Rice at the Art and Craft Bridge with 20 painters capturing the great moments whatever the weather, then to John asking Carol her analysis on the past and then present weather forecast (Matt’s ‘let us pray for the weather expression’ was a class ); link to Fearne Cotton on the HMS Belfast where the shanty group Fisherman's Friends sing ‘South Australia’; interview their guests John and Francis, the couple whose wedding was attended by the Queen; back to Angelica Bell at St Thomas Hospital, Tess Daly and Alex on a barge called Hollywood (and then lost her due to the communication problems); chat to a director from Garcia magazine about the fashion of the royal family and finally link to Sian Williams and the cast of the Horrible History at the Tower Bridge. The Diamond Jubilee~Thames Pageant Part 5 Back from Sian Williams and Dan Cruickshank on the Tower Bridge and link back to Alex for the second time (succeeded!); their last guests Commander Ian Clerk and Steve Chris from the royal navy join them in the studio; back to Paul as the London Philharmonic Orchestra’s on its way. The Diamond Jubilee~Thames Pageant Part 6 Reaching to the final stage of a flotilla of 1,000 vessels sail though the river Thames without the causalities, featuring the London Philharmonic Orchestra performing some famous tunes including Land of Hope and Glory and the National Anthem; the bascule of the Tower Bridge brought back to normal position; the Queen and the royal family leave the royal barge; Matt concludes chatting with Anna saying ‘who cares what happened with the weather, long live she may reign’; thank you all from them and Huw; the Queen’s message, passing her words of wisdom to the nation. My next aim is the Olympics 2012 Highlights which is very tricky, also annoying to upload. Having uploaded some but I still want to work on the commentary on Men's Gymnastics Qualifications and a brief silver moments on Team Final. That was class! I might have to do pictures slideshow with the audio bits. PS - just noted that today's OS is the last live show before the WC and Glasgow 2014, is it?

Some pics from tonight OS, Matt’s looking manly and lovely; thankfully he didn’t colour co-ordinate with Alex. Good they did repeat Matt’s ‘bend it like Beckham’ penalty shot and seemed his shot has inspired many to have a go now. Some WOW and SNW there:

One thing I am not too sure is, would it be the time for best of OS w/o M&A when they are back on air? This year the break is probably going to coincide with the Commonwealth Games anyway so it'll be off the air for that |

How do you know he continues hitting the gym? Just because of the evidence of his 6 packs under red t-shirt? Don’t happy to early Bee! He likes sitting on the sofa too.

Matt looked gorgeous tonight in his lemon shirt and I'm enjoying the Bend It Like Beckham challenge. Matt was performing great kicks last night but didn't hit the spot - don't think anyone will, to be quite honest. seriously though.....he'll have been out there practicing continuously since they put that goal there won't he. Bet NB has had to send little parcels in with sandwiches & clean undercrackers every day cos he won't go home. Good boy though. He's such a big kid ![]() frankly though I'm a bit underwhelmed with the celebrations. Where was the Wayne Rooney style pulling shirt over head & running round thing? No samba with the corner flag? Not even a solitary little backflip. shame ![]() I see the line up for tumble is out...........deary me. I've been trying to suppress how upset I've been that M wasn't involved but now I may rethink. We'll have to wait & see how the show goes of course but its not shaping up that well in my view. I know we joked about the show/concept being Matts idea....don't think any of us were really serious apart from the name sounding like something he'd come up with. I can't believe he hasn't been approached for some involvement so I have to assume he decided not to. The timing issue can't have been that pressing as Mitch & Louis are doing both the show and the C games. I assume Matt either didn't like it or has other commitments. No offence but I find AJ an unusual choice as host...especially on her own. Unusual to only have one host anyway. It does make you wonder (as Cookie pointed out) whether they wanted M&A as a team but for whatever reason he's not in. intrigue ..... I am a bit sad he's not on board it has to be said....but then I was hoping for something rather different from what its looking like being anyway. Sound to me like its going to be more circus act than 'real' gymnastics and I was hoping for a better standard of competitors as well to give it some credibility. I'll admit it did cross my mind when we found out M wasn't involved whether he might be a competitor! haha..... wishful thinking as I hardly think he's about to go down that route again but .....you know.....I bet he would have been REALLY tempted to have one last shot at the gym. Of course in order for him to be considered and not be a complete and utter ringer they would have needed a different sort of group of celebs. But the likes of the lad from Diversity on Splash....dancers.....current/recently retired sports people.....there are people out there who could have made it a really good show. but instead we get to watch Towie-ettes posing and fifty-somethings we've never heard of shoehorning themselves into a leotard in order to make an entire prat of themselves. not what I was hoping for really.... anyway. Watching Iker on telly at the moment and Spain just scored

Pictures of Matt from GtyImg that haven’t seen before (similar ones I posted before are taken by the different photographers as they have loads) Matt in front of BBC Radio One, could be on the way to OS studio. The "best of one show" was a school holidays things so more August. When they're back on the 23rd June I expect it to be a standard show. Don't forget, Matt & Alex were on air throughout Wimbledon last year as they interviewed Andy Murray after he won - that means the show is on into July
This year the break is probably going to coincide with the Commonwealth Games anyway so it'll be off the air for that Due to the time was being shift I got it recorded it 3 parts with 3 different titles. Unbelievable! I still got it. The weatherman John Hammond got wet at the end! It should have been B’er instead!![]() Quote:
Thanks for the pics Emma, didn't see last night tos as I was out, typically that he unbuttons the top one. He was looking lovely last night
![]() http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m...120614-004.jpg http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m...120614-008.jpg ok course, your right brazil wont want to see how good matt samba is, I didn't see becks in brazil, I'm sure matt looked betterYes, I will try and watch the tiger cubs, I like most wildlife docs' the one about the penguins that David t narrated was really good Think the title is Penguins: Spy in the Huddle. It was nerve-racking to watch. I don’t want to see Matt doing this kind of documentary tough b/c of some unavoidable upsetting scenes. Not just seeing their cuteness, the beautiful scenes and landscapes, it also gives a new insight to their lives, their struggles for live and death.

Well, even with the World Cup on and an earlier start time Countryfile managed to be the 3rd most watched programme yesterday
. It got 4.63m viewers (25% share) - it may seem lowish but it is summer and the ratings generally have dropped. Also, that's the last TV sighting of Matt until 23rd June return of The One Show as he's not on Countryfile next week... |

Don’t know you all have read Emma Williams’s ‘Annie Get Your Gun’ on her blog. About Matt was interesting.
It's funny too. http://emmawilliamsactress.blogspot....-first-tv.html |

Emma - thanks for finding the links. I read a shorter version of Emma William's comments - the longer one is even more lovely (I like her comment about Matt not changing at all in the last 10 years

Not really a surprise is it? I'm actually more surprised that they decided to bring the show back whilst the world cup is still airing. A major live event is a bit more important than a 30 minute factual entertainment programme. We can also assume it might get shifted around some more this week and next week if there's any Andy Murray matches running into primetime as they'll take priority too. Though it's already not airing next Monday or Tuesday because of football so at least there's less chance of disruption

, good on her but it was a choice that I’d have never come across in mind. I am not alone I reckon and it made me wonder when she has become a real fan of that sport. Zoe Ball as the ex-rhythmic gymnast and the host of some reality shows was in mind instead.

Hope they are available on iplayer later. Will watch Rhythmic gymnastics on Saturday, listening to Christine and Mitch’s commentary. Not sure Matt will present it. Wish he would.
