I don't ....... he just looks a bit fitter than before. I like to get excited about these things
that was amazing! its actually harder than it looks to hit a ball round an object not to mention hitting a target as well ... and from quite a distance. Very impressed seriously though.....he'll have been out there practicing continuously since they put that goal there won't he. Bet NB has had to send little parcels in with sandwiches & clean undercrackers every day cos he won't go home. Good boy though. He's such a big kid ![]() frankly though I'm a bit underwhelmed with the celebrations. Where was the Wayne Rooney style pulling shirt over head & running round thing? No samba with the corner flag? Not even a solitary little backflip. shame ![]() I see the line up for tumble is out...........deary me. I've been trying to suppress how upset I've been that M wasn't involved but now I may rethink. We'll have to wait & see how the show goes of course but its not shaping up that well in my view. I know we joked about the show/concept being Matts idea....don't think any of us were really serious apart from the name sounding like something he'd come up with. I can't believe he hasn't been approached for some involvement so I have to assume he decided not to. The timing issue can't have been that pressing as Mitch & Louis are doing both the show and the C games. I assume Matt either didn't like it or has other commitments. No offence but I find AJ an unusual choice as host...especially on her own. Unusual to only have one host anyway. It does make you wonder (as Cookie pointed out) whether they wanted M&A as a team but for whatever reason he's not in. intrigue ..... I am a bit sad he's not on board it has to be said....but then I was hoping for something rather different from what its looking like being anyway. Sound to me like its going to be more circus act than 'real' gymnastics and I was hoping for a better standard of competitors as well to give it some credibility. I'll admit it did cross my mind when we found out M wasn't involved whether he might be a competitor! haha..... wishful thinking as I hardly think he's about to go down that route again but .....you know.....I bet he would have been REALLY tempted to have one last shot at the gym. Of course in order for him to be considered and not be a complete and utter ringer they would have needed a different sort of group of celebs. But the likes of the lad from Diversity on Splash....dancers.....current/recently retired sports people.....there are people out there who could have made it a really good show. but instead we get to watch Towie-ettes posing and fifty-somethings we've never heard of shoehorning themselves into a leotard in order to make an entire prat of themselves. not what I was hoping for really.... anyway. Watching Iker on telly at the moment and Spain just scored ![]() Generally he weight seems perfect for his height though I can’t expect to see him super fit like he was in his salsa shirt when he got less and less involved in the activities regularly; probably that’s why he looked slightly chubby during the Olympic torch relay (you were one of the eyewitnesses I believe). And rickshaw challenge lost him one and a quarter of stones within 8 days giving that how he could have lost his weight when he was very active. Julia, Aliona, Ellie and now Alex keep themselves slim and fit so he should be much fitter than them, don’t think?![]() Wish Nicola see your thoughts re-sending him little parcels. I think he might have attempted a couple times to find the best tactic but my question is if footballers try a couple of times in training would they score for their squads? England’s out from WC 2014 now. They are highly paid/well-funded, famous, experienced/well-trained footballers, aren’t they? But regardless they couldn’t have done the nation proud. Anyway if we try like Matt could we bend it like him? I don’t think I would still like to have a little go though. I think the reason there was no celebration was the OS producer and director told him not to for the viewers’ health and safety. You see, TVs could crush; PCs, laptops, ipads, etc could freeze and you all would end up on the floor due to thudded. Only joking! Matt’s footballing skills I never knew but it was quite an impressive shot. It took me by surprise, presently of course. One of his hidden talents, I have ever witnessed to.Re-the celebs on the gymnastics reality show some older celebs might still be able to bend and split, (at least). I do think people would be more drawn to a reality show rather than to the gymnastics as a sport program. I mean how many people have watched Beth and Louis won their medals at the Euro, World and Olympics levels comparing to how many watched Beth winning on DOI and Louis winning on SCD. If I am not wrong the viewing figures of the reality shows outweighed the real sport programs. (Not to mention London 2012 though, as we were the host country and the nation loved it.) I personally enjoy watching gymnasts all over the world doing amazing things at the championships. I could see the hard work and dedication they put in but other people might prefer a realty show instead you never know. Btw, Diversity are seen as a dance group not the gymnasts though have acrobatic skills to do awesome moves but when M & A did a few similar moves in their showdance the judges moaned because of Matt’s background. There were still invisible rules on the showdances even repeatedly said that there was no rule. It should now be renamed as ‘strictly-round-up-fusion’ so within the invisible predetermined rules you would get to see what you have seen already on the show in one dance routine, nothing new. I couldn’t go without mention this, Sorry Bee. I should hold my hands from keep typing.Quote:
Yes, the little bit behind his ear is starting to curl. I wish he'd keep it longer (hair & stubble) but he'll probably go get it cut at the weekend
![]() It's a nice blue Joules shirt and he unbuttoned it better than last night. Think it's a new one for the show I really miss his curly long hair but have to admit I do like him in very short haircut too, cos he got a lovely head shaping nicely. A few sample pics which I found him looking hot in both haircut. Back to The One Show on the 12th of May with guest Kylie Minogue and Matt admitted he’d downloaded the album of all this year’s Eurovision songs
. This was also the show with the jujitsu lady and that wrist hold looked to be extended a little too long for comfort Matt was wearing the nice burgundy Ted Baker polo jumper with navy trousers. Frist jujitsu move was too quick so it was a harsh landing so I was a bit concerned about his back. I thought his wrist got a bit painful; probably supposed to be hold like that. I saw him murmured something yet still smiling and gave thumb up when the camera zoomed in. He said thank you and have a hug to the lady. Very sweet of him! Talking about Ted Baker; as per spottv, Alex’s bright pink dress she wore on the day Matt did bend it like Beckham was from Ted Baker too. Maybe they shopped together online on their PCs at the OS HQ. This is lovely http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...02at211425.png Nice side view http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...02at213057.png Quote:
Onto the 13th of May with guest Jay Leno - on to talk about his talk show and his cars. We also discover Matt needs 7 hours sleep a night - so Countryfile travel and early starts probably make him grumpy. At least until they give him a bacon sandwich and coffee
![]() Matt was wearing a blue shirt (slightly too baggy sleeves), burgundy tie, very dark waistcoat (but I think it was maybe burgundy or aubergine), and jeans Lovely pics http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...02at214943.png http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...02at215115.png Quote:
It’s the 14th of May on The One Show and the guests were Rita Ora and Stephen Mangan with Robbie Savage appearing for football related features. They were outside playing a weird football game and our own Rev was there to watch and let us know more about how the filming goes
![]() Matt was wearing his lovely purple velvet jacket, lavender shirt, and grey trousers ![]() I really like Matt wearing velvet jackets and this jacket is lovely and he’s gorgeous. http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...04at211513.png http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...04at212256.png Quote:
Onto the 15th of May and the guest was Tom Hollander (actor, appears in the sitcom Rev). He wasn’t a brilliant guest as he seemed a bit disengaged (Matt made the comment before a VT “This might interest you a bit more Tom”).
Some guests seem to be on to promote whatever they’re doing at the moment and for one reason or another don’t click - they’re never the best… Matt and Alex also compete in a dog agility course and Alex was quite right to refer to Matt as “The dog whisperer” ![]() Matt was wearing a burgundy spotted shirt, grey jacket, and jeans ![]() Good view http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...05at211017.png http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...05at211257.png http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...05at212153.png I think he was wearing this shirt. Colour slightly different in it, the pattern looks the same. http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m...attandAlex.jpg Thanks for the picspam KK.

evening all
![]() just been catching up a bit on this weeks Matt. Loving all the flowery patterned shirts he's been wearing for TT lately. I do like a patterned shirt. I like bright coloured ones as well...in fact I'm a fan of anything a little bit unusual. He's lucky that he seems to be able to carry off most colours and any style so I do think he should be adventurous more often. Dull ordinary clothes are wasted on him in my opinion. Funny he seems to go through phases of wearing more interesting stuff...hope this one lasts I thought he looked amazing last night (Hilary C show). He really does look great in those tight waistcoats. His shoulders almost need a sofa to themselves at the moment I'm also happy with the babybum face. I know its not popular but I think he looks lovely clean shaven. Stubble is sexier I agree but he looks so much younger and so cute clean shaven. I like it ![]() Really enjoyed CF last week. Not sure if anyone timed his input but it seemed longer than we've been used to lately. Nice to hear more of his voice as well. As Emma said before its much better when he's in one location. Much more efficient use of his limited time and the whole thing looked more relaxed somehow to me. I love how he really gets interested in whatever he's doing....but that's what he's like I know. He genuinely is interested in people and what they do/how they do it. Makes him come across more genuinely than some others on TV I think. I still hanker a bit though for some more varied subjects for him on CF. Lately most of his topics seem to be based round food or buildings/industry. Apart from the odd outing for his bike it seems ages since he did anything properly active. Ellie seems to be doing that stuff now. I want to see him surfing/climbing/cycling/canoeing...a bit of abseiling seems to be as much as we've had in the last year or so and I'm not just being shallow...honest. I'm just wondering how much interest even he can muster for yet another stroll round a famous dead persons ancestral estate followed by a Yorkshire pudding hat juggling competition with Ellie to end the show. ...oh who am I kidding. If theres food involved the enthusiasm will be entirely genuine on his part ![]() seriously tho I wish they would liven my life up a bit by telling him to bring his swimming trunks or climbing harness at some point soon. I know in the past he's had to do more cos Julia and/or Ellie have been pregnant but I just want a little bit more action...just a little bit then I'll stop complaining. I suspect the boring reason is that the more active outdoors stuff is very weather/conditions dependant and therefore very risky for him with his limited time. Much safer to have Ellie do it when they have a much wider time window to work with and she's probably able to be more flexible. I suspect they get more screen minutes per hour on set from him than they do from others so I'll be grateful that we get what we do.there....I'm not in a huff. honest

But in fact they cut out one of the bits of filming he did (meeting up with Ellie at the windmill). In fact, one of the episodes that people complained about (because Ellie did introductory voiceover and he didn't appear until after Tom) he stacked up over 15 minutes of airtime. It really is just perception a lot of the time ![]() And yes, you're probably right about some of the filming issues - setting up kayaking etc. will take hours that Matt doesn't have available (safety checks on top of the weather & conditions) and that Ellie (or Helen) can split over 2 days. Matt probably gets between 8-12 hours to film and based on standard filming to airtime ratios he shouldn't get more than 10 minutes on screen. We pretty consistently get 13-15 so he's obviously very professional and the crew do a fabulous job of using his time. And who knows - maybe Matt's got a bit bored of being stereotyped as the action guy. He's past 35 and he might just want to be taken more seriously. I suppose it just depends what he sees as the next steps in his career... |
