Onto the 5th of June on The One Show and the guests were Ant & Dec. This show featured some blasts-from-the-past for the guys as people they’d worked with before were in the audience.

Matt was wearing a grey jacket, a white shirt with a fish pattern (maybe whales?), jeans, and grey suede shoes

And who knows - maybe Matt's got a bit bored of being stereotyped as the action guy. He's past 35 and he might just want to be taken more seriously. I suppose it just depends what he sees as the next steps in his career...”

I know you've often pointed that out about cf being better when he's on a 'journey' or in one location as well. Just Emma mentioned it in a recent post as well and that must have stuck in my mind

I doubt M is getting tired of being seen as action man.....if anything I'd think with his main work now being through TT he'd welcome the variation a bit of outdoorsy stuff would give. I don't think he's perceived particularly as the action man type anyway. I suspect the presenters just do what they're told and it works better for the others to do the activity stuff.

Still awaiting news from some of the girls who have been at the cf Cotswold show today....suspect dethudding is in progress in a pub somewhere. All I've seen is a couple of pics from earlier and a few thuds. Sounds like a good day

It’s been a productive day today

– having watched 2 old CF episodes on yesterday channel. Frist one was with Claire in which Matt helps grooming 11 years old girl Megan’s sheep Megi (Magic as per Matt and), charcoal making in a charcoal pit and the second one was with Ellie in Loch Etive where he learns flood rescue training from a team of RNLI volunteers. He’s always brilliants with the kids and can grab a sheep that quick and that gently. That’s the skill!

Then I managed to watch F1 British Grand Prix after they restarted the race. So pleased to see Lewis won. Haven’t watched Wimbledon though cos’ I had a feeling Novak would have definitely won. I do like him though I wanted to see Roger doing quite well.

And I just found this lovely radio interview with Matt. He's around 20.10 in, very bubbly as usual

Bee – I don’t think Matt would be getting bored being seen as an action man either from what I’ve learnt about him. He can’t sit still long that for sure. And I remember he and Alex did the questionnaires on the OS that the results showed he is at his best where there is excitement. If he got bored of being adventurous action man, he wouldn’t have said to Claire on OS before the Winter Olympics that he would definitely do those tricks and jumps (snowboarding, I think like James Wood). He actually did say, ‘as a little young gymnast on the snow that would be me all over the places. Clare went like ‘Oh, Matthew! They also showed a VT of a guy who did rock climbing in Snowdonia. It looks quite a tough and tricky climb. Matt said he’d would mind to have a go and Alex said he’s like a Spiderman. He has been working with adventurous action girls on telly like Julia, Ellie and Helen. Even Alex is trying to come out of her comfort zone so why would like to stay behind? He does have variety of interests that he is quite good at. Handling serious matters or be adventurous he certainly does well. I do like him asking instance questions to Hilary on OS purely based on what she just said. It was a great night. Think they (the OS team) liked her.

Talking about M & A, don’t know you all have already seen this little clip (they have their name but I’d called it stocker’s news). It’s hilarious!

that's exactly what they're always like when you watch them at roadshows etc. AJ is serene and calm as anything and M just doesn't stay still for a second. Sadly the hands down the pants thing doesn't always feature but we can live in hope for the future

lovely to hear the reports from the Cotswolds show yesterday. I'm assuming everyone on here can see them on email? He's such a lovely natural speaker and so interesting to hear him talking. Even if it isn't always what he's supposed to be talking about hehe.... sounds like he went overtime as usual but I bet no-one minded.

little insight perhaps into the lack of activity stuff on cf thing I've been moaning about as it seems he doesn't much like the water based stuff and much prefers to be on the hills etc. Ellie seems pretty comfy with the water stuff (which seems to be quite a lot on cf lately) so that's probs suits all parties.

and it appears he did in fact forget his PE kit and hence the wellies for cricket. By all accounts Mrs B was hauling a bag the size of a small caravan about the place but clearly it didn't include a pair of trainers. You know in my day if we forget our PE kit we had to do it in our pants & vest.

It’s the 9th of June on The One Show and it’s another Welsh show as Tom Jones makes a guest appearance

. This was also the week of their “Bend it like Beckham” stunt. As it was the 1st day Matt’s initial attempt decapitated a dummy, and then he spent time practising when he should have been in a script meeting

glorious picspam KK thank you

also loving the pics of M from Saturday. My main thoughts being concerning trouser allocation for the cricket game. Apparently the presenters didn't know the game was on the cards hence the lack of PE kit or footwear (naming no names....

) so kit must have been supplied. In that case god bless whoever it was that made bloomin' sure Adam & John got the baggy ones and Matt got ..... well you know. Not so baggy.

the term 'crease' in cricket commentary will forever now make me smirk

bring on the commonwealth games I say.

Is Yamaica in the commonwealth?

Matt tucking his shirt caught on camera was really funny. I think he must have known the stalker was outside OS cos’ his sofa mate was smiling and giving a wave outside.

What reposts? Did you mean emails circulating? Haven’t checked my email for ages cos I try to make more afford to come here and post whenever I can to support KK and Sky a bit. Then time ran out. He did talk about surfing the Severn Bore on CF in that interview I linked in my previous post. Sounded he enjoyed it.

I don't have a problem sitting down and space gazing for 15 mins, I just need to think about a certain gawgus man and that it for hours

at least 30 min mon-tues and a good hour on Sunday

Matt looked lovely tonight, a very nice bit of unbuttonage going on.

A happy matt having a good time with pammie, who was alright she's not going to have much fun with the Brazilian dancers when she catches up with them tomorrow.

Think Yamaica was when matt was on the yam diet for when usian bolt was on and he did the 100m run

course it was! assuming AJ won't be competing due to being otherwise engaged with Tumble M will surely be their sole competitor in the games. Hope he remembers his trainers for that one

Matt sounded like he enjoyed it. John did say, they would look back some good old CF clips. If I were John I would choose a clip of Matt and Adam’s a sheep-shearing challenge featured on CF Summer Diaries in Dartmoor broadcasted in August 2007 cos it's all relevant and would be fun.

Don't think they could dig it out from the BBC archive though.

I see John is to edit a CF special episode celebrating his 25 years on CF and we got a spoiler - Matt driving a British car (think a posh car) uphill. Matt sounded like he enjoyed it. John did say, they would look back some good old CF clips. If I were John I would choose a clip of Matt and Adam’s a sheep-shearing challenge featured on CF Summer Diaries in Dartmoor broadcasted in August 2007 cos it's all relevant and would be fun. Don't think they could dig it out from the BBC archive though.”

It’s the 11th of June and the guests were Nick Grimshaw and Dara O’Briain (who was fabulously talkative - particularly about the Longitude Prize) with music from Gregory Porter. This was the episode where Matt actually did manage to bend it like Beckham. How long do we think he practiced (and did he skip all of the show rehearsals to do so)?

Great cf tonight lots of lovely mattage, fab stubble, it had been warm enough to take the jacket off for a little while.

Andy was an interesting guest. When he was on the show for the first time they showed him a VT in which the behaviours of gorillas were observed. They left the life-sized cut-outs of Matt, Alex and Andy with the gorilla and it took that of Matt away.

I still remember. I enjoyed the cast of West Side Story performing opening number ‘America’.

Haven’t watched last night CF in Gower. I was out the whole day with family barbecue and came back last so missed it. But it’s already been downloaded automatically on my iplayer desktop cos I selected CF and OMAHD as favourites long, long ago. Looks like one of the great episodes I have been longing for. Going to watch it tonight.
