Evening all

Matt looked great tonight, nice bit of unbuttonage and all clean shaven, got a few little wow's as well.
David was a good guest, catherine was a bit more cheerful today than when she was on last time.

Matt’s not on tonight OS!

I thought he looked better last night. Now worries me a bit. Wonder would he be filming CF tomorrow. I hope he is well whatsoever.

A Matt-less OS means no instant screencaps of Matt tonight but as many strictly fans seemed getting excited at this time of year so I go back to strictly picspam from what I’ve left. And it’s time for Viennese Waltz!

We’re into August now due to lack of One Show episodes - it’s the 3rd of August on Countryfile and Matt is in Cornwall foraging and free-diving. As this involved him wearing shorts and breathing deeply it was a popular show. Even if the wetsuit he was wearing was a bit weird

The 10th of August was the last appearance of Matt on Countryfile for a while (due to Commonwealth Games and summer holidays) but it was a good one as it was the Summer Special from the Cotswold Show. Matt got to show off his archery skills and his cricket “skills”

This will be my last picspam until Friday as I'm travelling for work - but there's plenty of pictures here to keep you all occupied

I see SCD red carpet is on next Sunday right after Countryfile in Stourbridge. Matt has been missing in recent new CF episodes since the Summer Special so I am really looking forward to it.

Can't wait! And the OS is going to air the OS Music Festival the whole next week so would be v interesting to see how lively Matt would be.

I like to see Ellie doing strictly. Thinks she would be great. I guess the return of the strictly means the returns of the ongoing debates and the likelihood of the bashing threads on MF.

Pictures of Matt on tonight the OS…sorry about over-capturing, it was unintended...see, he was off for a few days and when he's back it made a huge different. Soooooo good to see him back on the sofa, Smokey was an interesting guest and the Vamps are not bad either but I’d go with the sexy vamps!

The cheese toasty looked scummy , love cheese on toast

PS: Just tuned in the red button in the hope of I'd see Matt and Alex on the OS music festival like I saw them yesterday with the pianist Lang Lang but SCD red carpet was on. I think it's a short program going on and on and the whole setting and the people looked very bronze and orange. Good to see Zoe instead of Lisa though.”

And the OS on Wednesday next week is live from Invictus Games Opening Ceremony!

‘The One Show comes live from the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park for a special programme to broadcast the launch of Prince Harry's first ever Invictus Games, the major international sports event for wounded soldiers.

Matt Baker, Alex Jones and Clare Balding report on the spectacular Opening Ceremony, where highlights include a flypast from the Red Arrows and an exclusive performance of the Invictus Anthem penned by Coldplay.

I know Simon from Blue (not a fan but liked Duncan

), Frankie from S Club 8/Juniors/Saturday (I was a big fans of Steps and S Club 7 at that time

so they became part of favourite kids band by default

), Andy’s mum Judy, Pixy, Steve and Gregg were on the OS so those are the lineups I know quite well. I recognise some of the faces but don’t know their names. I guess CF viewers will stick on BBC 1 watching SCD launch show on that night unless they are fans of XF which might clash with both CF and SCD airtime.

Hello all. Back for a flying visit after overseas trip for work - I'm on holiday next week so still won't be around much!

Looks like it's been a good week on The One Show with Matt's hair looking longer and some stubble showing up. Pity he still appears to have a cold. I'm going to have to catch up on all the shows today

Welcome back KK and enjoy (4 days of) the OS. Have you heard him saying he bought an accordion on auction?! Didn’t say though whether he can play it or has time to play, if so.

That’s the “skills” re-cricket. Who would be able to play in a pair of wellies? He even managed to do the longest run on the pitch in wellies.

After it’s summer break Matt was back on The One Show on the 18th of August. The guest was Daniel Radcliffe who was great value as usual

Matt hair gets curlier unless it stuck in hairspray/ gel under hair-dryer and Josh has curly hair so it may be one of the reasons.

There was a competition between the judges going on too and it was Craig’s turn to be very picky; oh well, he was the one mostly maintained it throughout the series but this level of credibility and consistency have gone missing recently.
