Morning all. We have a rating for Countryfile last night Countryfile - 6.24m (24.5%). That's pretty good as it's still up against Dancing on Ice and also suffers a little from a poor quality lead-in (Blandings gets less than 4m and is really quite bad...).
Nice to see Matt starting off the year in a short sleeved rugby shirt and "shorts" (they were a bit long but we did see knees at least ). Still, it's a good start! Thank you for the pictures Emma

Thank you for the pictures Emma ![]() I like Blandings. Not the best interpretation of Wodehouse I've seen but he is difficult to put on screen. Last night's episode made me laugh, especially the vicar and Freddie. Lord Elmsworth is not as feeble-minded as he should be. Most importantly though, I was trying to find a short description of a cat whose antics in a kitchen cause a descent into chaos that is described by PGW in hysterical detail. I failed, but did discover that there are some stories of his I've never read. I shall enjoy catching up on those. Yes, it was nice to see Matt's knees An unexpected pleasure as I was expecting arctic clothing last night.

It's the Christmas Special for Countryfile on 23rd December from Ragley Hall in Warwickshire where Matt gets to herd sheep, cook, roll up carpets, and be a waiter before finishing off with a sing-song

The last One Show of the year was a "Best of" special introduced by Matt, Alex, and Chris from the ice rink at Hampton Court. Sadly this never appeared in proper HD on iPlayer so the pictures aren't great but there's a combination of shots from the links and little bits of previous shows in there
![]() ) Again I don't really have a favourite pic. I'll choose this one because it brings back fond memories.http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...26at164915.png |
It's a Countryfile clip show on the 6th January (I've made it into the same month I'm picspamming - it's amazing!) and the theme was "Horses and Dogs". There's a couple of clips in there that haven't been picspammed before - hound trailing and husky racing.
() http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...26at215203.png Think I like this this one best - though I have to say the dogs really steal the show for me in this episode. They're so beautiful. http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...26at215318.png |

I think I preferred the 2011 Christmas Special to this. It all seemed a bit disjointed somehow and misplaced (or maybe that was the Chris Evans effect

Have to agree that I was not enamoured of the T1S Xmas special either - prefered 2011 |

Lots of localised flooding with some road closures not too far away |

Hello – it was a good show tonight. Never knew what Fleetwood Mac was look like but my big bro and sis were fans so I remember that they played Fleetwood Mac famous hit songs a lot. Having heard them on the show brought back my childhood memories. A bit disappointed through cos the OS did not send their very own Mr Darcy to explore and have a taste of food in Jane Austin’s novels esp the recipes described in Pride and Prejudice. This is the album cover of Fleetwood Mac’s Rumours And this is the album cover of Fleetwood Matt’s Rumours ![]() ![]() ![]() What do you prefer? I went for the second heavy beardy one! Beard overdone a bit but very convincing! ![]() http://i1106.photobucket.com/albums/...280113-003.jpg Quote:

Good morning all
. Rating for last night's show The One Show: 4.6m (20.9%). Now the weather has improved we're back to normal...And in other news the BBC have submitted their planning application (http://www.tvforum.co.uk/tvhome/broa...31415/page-166) for the move of The One Show from it's current home in White City to Broadcasting House (which is in Central London near Westminster). This was an expected move at some point as the BBC are completely moving out of their West London home (TV Centre, Shepherd's Bush, White City). If you follow through the links to the actual planning application it shows that the show is pretty much guaranteed to run for another 2 years at least and the one hour show for Wednesday's is referenced. They want a ground floor studio but will block access / viewing when the show is airing to prevent distractions or dodgy crowd behaviour. And it looks like the move is planned by April 2013 ![]() I've also designed the Rebelmouse page for mattbakerfans - https://www.rebelmouse.com/mattbakerfans/ - try and look on a widescreen as I've added a nice background picture too

The first proper One Show of the year was on the 7th of January with guest Rory Bremner and a guest presenter in Sarah Millican. We had VTs on council cuts in Birmingham (Simon Boseman), Victorian self-help books (Gyles Brandreth), helping yourself (Carrie Grant), and day 1 of the killer whale story (Mike Dilger)
Matt was in a pale denim shirt and tan chinos I particularly like this one http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...27at152719.png No knees here but a lovely expression http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...27at154140.png Thank you kk. |

It's The One Show on the 8th of January with guest Davina McCall - and apologies but I'm going to go back to just capturing the pictures rather than recapping the show. It's much quicker for me to do…
To demonstrate Davina's fitness the guest presenter (Sarah Millican) had her practicing her exercise routines with cake. This was obviously some form of torture for Matt as he couldn't eat them (though they did seem to disappear during a VT ). And later Sarah commented on a bad pun "I didn't write that". Wonder who did? ![]() Some great expressions in this lot. These are particularly gorgeous http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...28at212012.png http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...28at212058.png And knees again ![]() http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...28at212338.png |

Evening all
![]() A good show tonight, monty was looking well, good and chatty, sounds like his garden is a bit of a mud bath. Matt was looking fab, a happy bunny matt, a nice bit of unbuttonage going on with some nice gapping ,good to see that the razor is staying safely in the cupboard. Not fair can't watch tos repeat at lunch, i can play iplayer on the pc at work, but can't turn the sound on, as it an open planned office and it's strange watching with no sound, tho there is plenty to look at ![]() Rebelmouse is looking great kk |

Just had a thought. How, I wonder, will the lunchtime show affect ratings? Will fewer people watch in the evening? And will the two audiences be added together to give a viewing figure? How does that work?
![]() My opinion is it won't affect the evening ratings in the slightest. Most people won't even realise there is a daytime repeat and they're not likely to be around to watch anyway. It's a show that is mostly watched by people having their tea and putting it on as something lightweight to watch. No, you don't add audiences together to get a rating figure. The only place that applies is with +1 channels (like ITV+1) where some people count it together. The proper ratings from BARB never include repeats in the audience for a show - particularly not if it's on a different channel. What it does do potentially is increase the audience reach of the show to new people which could be beneficial to the evening show - both by getting them new viewers and by possibly getting more guests by having a higher "reach" figure for the show. |
