Wonder how many sausage buggers Matt tugged in in that VT.

It was an evening that brought 350 guests together as one big ‘family’. The atmosphere was electric right from the beginning as guests arrived to a champagne reception with Matt Baker giving a great Welcome speech.

What's your favourite type of TV to watch?
“I like building shows. I'm constantly building things when I'm not on telly - whether it's walls or houses or barns,
I'm constantly doing DIY. I sound terribly boring! I'm getting into my middle age now - woodwork and that sort of thing. So anything to do with that I'm well into, I do enjoy Grand Designs. I do like The Apprentice, actually.”

Any TV turn-offs?
“I don't really like watching reality TV, to be honest. And I don't like soaps at all. I shouldn't really say that, we have so many guests on The One Show that have been in soaps.
The trouble is for me, with my schedule, I can never get home in time for soaps. There's the diplomatic answer!”

What's your TV guilty pleasure?
“I used to like America's Next Top Model! It's a process thing; I like process things with a beginning, a middle and end, so really that's it. But that was the worst thing [I’ve liked], that's a bad one, isn't it? That is bad.”

Which TV show would you like to star in?
“I'd really like to be in a period drama. Maybe not Downton, something more BBC.
Lots of riding and that sort of thing… but with an edge. You know, like The Musketeers, something like that. Definitely some kind of period drama.”

Who was your TV pin-up growing up?
“The A Team; I was mad on The A Team, and Airwolf I particularly liked as well. The A Team were particularly big with me, I had all the toys and all the posters on my walls as well.”

I am a bit of like Matt. I am not a fan of any soaps or reality (w/o talents) TV shows. I don’t have enough spare time either. I was a huge fan of Airwolf as well. His love of doing DIY, horse riding and acting in period dramas never changed. No idea what’s his TV guilty pleasure. He said, it’s bad so must be bad. My ideal costume drama for Matt involving has to be Pride and Prejudice.

Is it worth collecting in term of good Mattage? I bought CF Favorite Places and SB 2010 DVDs from @m@z0n, not cheap but felt worth to add to my collection. No idea about this though.

I managed to catch up last night. No comparison! Sorry KK! I tell you why. If I have to describe in an obvious example, it is going to be like you comparing two kinds of 10mg gold medals one of which is made of solid gold whereas the other is made of 16 carat gold. My question is how can you make a comparison where there is no some rules apply on each contestant in every series?

Here is a little clip reminds you how very odd comments Len has made recently on Jake and on Kara and Matt back in 2010 Blackpool week. Again this is just an example of how the opinions of the judges can be changeable from one series to another, one contestant to another depending on their moods at the point of the comments they make and the scores they give or who needs extra secured marks to get through next week.

Sky – as far as I know, pro girls shook their bums like Jake did in the opening number of series 8 Blackpool week results show. You can find the clip on utube, may be on Aliona’s fans’ channels cos she was one of them. And to my knowledge men hip actions are quite differ from those of women. If people found it fun, fair enough but for me comedy gold samba goes to that of Scott and Joanne.

Matt on tonight’s the OS, looking a little bit of Christmassy, a little bit of country-style and a little bit of wowful moments. And I guess it’s Nicola’s birthday, isn’t it? Hope she got something special birthday present from Mr Baker. No more baking things this year. Hah…hah… Naughty Matthew laughing at Alex’s wishing her b/f to make afford like a little fish in a Japanese bay. Young bone expert Jake was confident and knowledgeable. As Matt said he was brilliant. Even Sir David seemed quite impressed. Window engraving VT is interesting. Life Story episodes are fascinating to watch yet I had to look away from time to time when I saw animals struggling and fighting for life or survival or mates. I don’t want to see Matt presenting life cycle of animals though.

Matt wrapped up himself warm tonight… they mentioned Claudia’s daughter got badly burnt during the Halloween and that the flammable fancy dress VT was shocking. According to the experiment in VT Helmsley tutu dress can be burnt 4 times faster than the cheap ones from the market!

Real or Replicar game with Richard Hammond was good fun. Len is on tomorrow show but Matt won’t be. It would be a good idea if Al and Chris ask Len about his awarding score of 10 on strictly as his 10 appeared cheaper and cheaper and no strict rules applies as far as I am aware of comparing to previous years.

Was Matt getting ready to set off to the location where CF filming tomorrow? Or has he done all 44 programs already? He has been missing on CF recently, about 4 weeks of filming. Recently 3 out of 4 were new episodes that he wasn’t on. He might have 2 week off and 2 weeks of rickshaw challenge, I reckon. On next Sunday CF in Clwydian Range, in North Wales and then CF Christmas Special a week after to look forward to.


Possibly after filming the VT.

Len's on again, since the final is coming up they going to plug strictly a bit more and the xmas special

Emma - I'm confused? Did you think I was liking Jake's samba or saying it was comparable to Matt's? I was saying Jake's samba was rubbish and massively overmarked. Same went for his Charleston tonight....
