I saw Matt’s mum and Luna, poor little donkey. I remember Matt wrote about this on Countryfile Magazine. It happened the day after his sister’s birthday celebration and she didn’t know she and Luna would be filmed and featured on this program.

It is from 23 October (not September) and yes I am hoping we got Mattage/Mattfeast as we had in Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games. It’s actually qualification round for Rio 2016. Must be nerve-wracking for those gymnasts, hoping they would be qualified for the Olympics next year.”

Does anyone know where can I buy this magazine? It is out and available on the shops now? They said to look at local stores but it’s not like trash mags so don’t know where to look at.

Matt said he likes a bit of challenge so his rambling is up above the Welsh mountains…It’s on 7th and 11th of October. You got to apply before the closing date 19 September and the successful applicants will be decided randomly in a draw to join them.

Countryfile’s Ramble for BBC Children in Need
Countryfile’s John Craven, Matt Baker, Ellie Harrison, Anita Rani and Adam Henson will each lead very special rambles with a range of difficulties... from the very easy with John Craven to the more challenging with Ellie Harrison to the extreme with Matt Baker. They will take place across the UK and will showcase a range of stunning landscapes from coast to moorland to mountain and will be filmed as part of a Countryfile special to be shown in November.

Matt Baker walks Snowdonia, Wales
Saturday 10 October 2015
Description: Beautiful and wild landscapes/dynamic, mainly mountainous and a great introduction to scrambling.
Approximate distance: 3.8 miles.
Difficulty rating: Strenuous - incorporates scrambling and climbing (please see image below). The goal is to reach the top of the mountain summit and therefore experience of mountain walking is required. You should have a head for heights.
Age limit: 18 and over.
Terrain: Some steep inclines, mostly hilly and mountainous. Not suitable for wheelchairs.
Timings: You will need to be at the meeting point as early as 7.30am. The day is expected to last approximately 7-8 hours.
Please note that there are only toilet facilities at the start and end of the route but not along the route.
Location: Within the LL24 or LL57 postcode area. For health and safety reasons we cannot publish the exact start location. Should you be successful this information will be published in your information pack

On other notes, just a quick caught up strictly on iplayer…Overcrowded pro dance routines have been slightly toned down so proper pro dances made more enjoyable. No obvious mis-matched couples but felt sorry for Nat. There are strong contenders and dark horses and Aliona got the ‘winner-winner-chicken-dinner’. 2 years of sacrifices paid off! She’s on the cloud nine, she admitted. She did ‘the Matt expression of ‘YES’ when her name was called out. Not seen this from her since series 9. I’d put my money on them. No underestimating the other contenders though. They might do equally well, as soon as they get rid of their nerves; just because other factors can make a huge different on winning. Jennet’s reactions when she left with Peter was funny. She couldn’t hide her excitements. And it was quite amusing to see Aliona and Karen’s faces when Ainsley was about to be paired up. Their faces said it all, quite understandably. 4 male celebs will take their top off, dare I say. Iwan got Ola…he said he’s a slow burner… Anita got paired up with a new hot looking Russian pro. I saw a DS article reporting that she will do well as Matt. I have been kept saying that I’d love to see Ellie doing strictly since 2012 but it didn’t happen. I said that every year. Now Anita was given the chance instead. The same to Secret Britain - since 2011, I was dreaming of SB2 presented again by Matt. It eventually happened in 2014 but without Matt. If I started wishing that I love to see Adam Hanson on strictly, somebody on CF might get the opportunity instead. My wishful thinking never, ever happened. Typical! STOP wishful thinking now. I like Katie. Think she has musicality and found her rhythms. Of course, other 3 musicians in this line-up are obviously have those strengths but stronger than her… just hope Anton coaches her well and creates dance routines that suit her abilities well.

Because of Big Blue Live Matt was back on our screens until the 23rd of August when he appeared twice. The first time was in an episode of Countryfile from Powys where Matt was at the fabulous castle. This episode also featured him making use of a climbing harness as a bottle opener

Matt on last night’s the One Show… I don’t know how Big Help Out - Find A Place in Sport flowchart diagram could find you a session that matches your abilities. It is funny Al ended in as a caterer whereas Matt’s session was coaching adults - teaching them to learn triple backflips, handstands, unicycling, etc? RAF's Battle of Britain photo mosaic is brilliant.
Btw, has anyone ever had sweaty hugs and snogs?

It was another double helping of Matt on the 30th of August - starting with a Countryfile Harvest special. Handily for Matt - as this was filmed the day before he flew to the US - he could film pretty much on his own doorstep again

Matt was looking at a small-scale farm where they are reintroducing ancient varieties of wheat. He harvested the wheat, milled it into flour, saw it turned into pasta, and then ate the result. All in a day

A moving story about Cameron…next week is CF edition of One Man and His Dog special with Matt and Ellie and the stars of the show – legendary sheepdogs border collies and a flock of stubborn sheep. Hope the gorgeous Bob will be with his master B in the commentary box.

Heard sad news about Jackie Collin on six O’ clock news…couldn’t believe she was chatting happily with Matt and Alex on the One Show and it was on 7 September 2015, just 2 weeks ago.
