Lovely CF Harvest Theme tonight…and was it the Great British Baker Off on Countyrfile? Loved Matt’s smile at the camera when he was taught how to prepare a harvest loaf.

It was a soaking wet harvest time with the children while Adam in Wales got lovely sunny weather. It is so tough to choose a favourite Countryfile photoc cos I like quite a few. They all are the winners to me.

I knew all about Matt in this article but I’ve never seen Matt and his BP co-presenters and I didn’t know the second series of the Gift is to be filmed later this year. He is going to be busy bee but for us that’s excellent news!

The episode 2 is the most watched on u-tube. And love that nick name - the fabulous Baker Boy.

In last 10 years for the very first time we have 2 Olympics golds in gymnastics but we have not see Mr Baker his toe nails done yet!

It was very sweet memories of Matt and Al dancing foxtrot base American smooth to the Queen and DoE's favourite song at the Buckingham Place music room and great to see it again at the end of the show.

The 31st of July was a Summer Special for Countryfile and Matt got to travel around in a vintage American car, sing country music, and eat barbecue

On a more serious note some of the meat they were looking at was veal and discussing why more people should eat this. Given the veal calves in question had a longer life than the average lamb I’d agree with the points raised (also a veal saltimbocca or schnitzel is just tasty

Matt’s gone bashful, looking getting sweat and seems feeling hot when his tap dancing on the top of BBC Television Centre was recaptured on the One Show tonight. Bless him! He’s just fabulous! Loved that Al helped him to cool down…very cute! I remembered Marinda and her baby boy and the slippery frog moment with Adrian and Christine. Actually we have loads of One Show special moments. I’d love to see Matt saying happy St. David Day in Walsh as he freshly learnt from Al in 2011, Matt and Al with Steve’s Backshall Box of Beasties moment, Baker’s band-it-like-Beckham, Matt and Al and Emma’s leap of faith, Matt and the Drunkin Devils, Matt’s snooker trick, Monty the Germen shepherd’s proper kiss on Matt’s cheek, the list goes on.

Great to see the One Show family members (reporters) in the studio; taking us a trip down memory lane. Shame we haven’t seen Mr Baker as a young reporter there yet.

I wasn’t keen on tonight guest either to be honet but I forgot to mention that the One Show playing Meatloaf’s Bet-Out-Of-Hell in the background on last night show made me visualizing stubbly Matt in red highlighted hair, guyliner, 2 painted nails and the leather jacket on, dancing Argentine Tango with Aliona. Thud! Thud!! Thud!!!

Errrrr…talking about ‘thud’ we need Thud Annual Special Edition ™ soon.

Awww, thank you Matt and the One Show for bringing back the amusing memories of Matt and Al and Steve’s Backshell Box of Beasties. Al’s guessing baby ferret ‘a little cat’ moment was sooooooo funny. Poor girl!! It would be nice to see the days Matt juggling strictly training and hosting the OS for 3 days a week back in 2010. Not keen on Marinda tho. Maybe the moment Aliona telling Al she smacked him would be good to embarrass him.

Mo was a cool guest. I saw the moment when Mo tripped and fall over and still managed to win gold. Awesome! I remember Don on a bike in a circus and Marty science VT.

The last One Show before the summer break was an hour long special from the village of Weobley in Herefordshire. It all went a bit Countryfile at the start with Matt wandering through fields looking at orchards and a herd of cows

Matt was in white t-shirt, checked shirt, gilet, and jeans (yet he allegedly gets too warm - I don’t believe him given the amount of layers he wears!

So… whilst Matt was off at the Olympics he was absent from Countryfile for most of August and The One Show was on vacation we have a lack of picspams.

Matt was back on Countryfile on the 21st of August for Countryfile Live - an event that ran for 4 days at Blenheim Palace and proved a huge success. It’ll be back next year and hopefully Matt will be able to attend more than one day. They did a good job on the show of making him look more involved by having him present a lot of little snippets

The red kite is a beautiful bird, it didn't flap around the the huge vulture did a while back.
Mo is great, it was very OMG when he went over and he still got up and won, he is amazing, watched the documentary about him before the olympics, very interesting

But there is a lot of stakes because if you fall, even that counts.

There was an excellent tribute to the late Mitch Fanner by Matt on behalf of the BBC Sport Team.
Claire: And Matt before we get into the actions, I know we want to pay tribute to Mitch Fenner, your first Olympics with our team, huge part of BBC commentary team but also huge figure in Gymnastics.
Matt: Absolutely! I have to say it doesn’t feel the same without Mitch here. We only lost him just a matter of the week before the Olympics and he loves the first day of team final. For those who don’t know, just hear Mitch’s voice he so ingrain in the world of Gymnastics so much so. And I am talking globally as well because he has made big input as a coach in the team of the Netherlands and they managed under Mitch’s helps to get to the Olympics, get the team here for the very first time. They always had individuals who could compete at world stage but they never managed put together as a team and Mitch managed to do that. And he got the Netherlands here. They finished in tenth, still got a couple of individuals in the individual apparatus finals as well. So there is a real good feeling here. We just wanna keep going with Mitch’s legacy. And yes, it won’t be the same without him but we gonna try and do him proud, and just keep going. We were honoured to learn from him. We just wanna keep that going really.

Claire: He would have been so excited, you know. And in terms of Britian’s chances of the medal, they took the bronze in London 2012. Even harder this time round?
Matt: Well, you know here Louis’s talked there, realistically top five. You know what; they are so very close. This is gonna be a real mix. It could go anywhere. I mean we got current Olympic champion in China, we got the current world champion in Japan. Great Britain, they have got the silver at the world championships, we got the second highest qualifier as well and European champion in Russia. This could go anywhere. The five teams and all of them deserve something.

On a more serious note some of the meat they were looking at was veal and discussing why more people should eat this. Given the veal calves in question had a longer life than the average lamb I’d agree with the points raised (also a veal saltimbocca or schnitzel is just tasty )

Evening

It been a good week of guest. Richard tucking in and eating the xmas pudding through the show.

Matt looking great tonight nice and stubbly,

It's been really hot down south all week and matt this been in long sleeved shirt, not a rolled up sleeve in sight and it will probably rain tomorrow and the coat will be back on so no chance of a t-shirt.

From some posts on twitter Matt was in the Tewkesbury area filming for Countryfile and sadly it did look like waterproof jacket weather
