Evening all

A horrible grotty day, started of with a tiny covering of snow and had snow/sleet most of the morning, stayed grey and dull all day.

itv wont be pleased that DOI was beaten by CF again, Brilliant rating for cf last night

A good tos tonight, chris was a funny guest very enjoyable with lots of matt laughing.
Matt looked great in his snug light grey cardie . Nice bit of stubble.

Star sounds snowy up by you, fingers crossed that it clears up and you are able to get out to see your mum, hope she is getting better.

Thanks for your good wishes for my Mum SkyBlue, she is slowly regaining strength - I was able to get to see her this afternoon (the snow turned slushy!) and the staff at the Home are pleased with her progress. Hope you've had a good day by the way

It's Matt Dawson tonight (probably got a book out or something) I do like a bit of rugby so hope there's some good footage and also the two Matts may possibly reminisce about their SCD experiences. What with Alex an ex-SCD contestant, there are bound to be some allusions to that illustrious competition

Can you believe it! And, like Matt, he has 2 children. Think Matt although younger has matured into a fine specimen whilst Chris has probably always looked a bit skinny and youthful and always will! Lovely fabulous on tos tonight, our matt looked fab with very good unbuttonage and nice snug jeans, with bonus standing up at the end
a nice relaxed easy going show, matt2 was a good guest, good and chatty, not to sure i would have tried the pancake , it looked a little well done for my liking, but matt dived straight in and had a taste.

Had my pancakes, i love pancakes with lots of sugar and lemon,could easily eats lots of them, will have to make some more batter and have more tomorrow.

Glad your dentist trip was okay SG. I have to go and have a tooth removed but I'm putting it off. Been putting it off for nearly a year now. It's a bit complicated and I'm a terrible coward. Dentist did say it wasn't urgent but not sure he meant it could wait a year. I'm due for the hygienist soon so will mention it. Everyone seems to be talking about dentists though. It's like when you're pregnant, you look around and everyone else seems to be too. Know what I mean?

I enjoyed The One Show tonight. First, I thought our Matt looked great. It's not my favourite sort of shirt but for some reason it just all looked right tonight. I like Matt Dawson, he's always good fun. Supported him when he was on SCD. The two Matts, the two runners-up. When Matt B asked Matt D who he thought would get the rugby wooden spoon this year Matt D replied "je ne sais pas" - a typical tongue-in-cheek, slightly sarcastic remark from him. I do think he's mellowing slightly as he ages, tends to lessen the sharpness of some of his witticisms these days. I think the remark went over Matt B and Alex's head anyway.

Would have been nice to see the two Matts dance together for old times sake, don't you think? - but I suppose that would have been a bit rude with Alex present.

Think we are all the same when it comes to the man/woman approaching us with instruments of torture Somehow I felt less nervous going in the afternoon (I'm usually more awake by then - but that's probably not the best state to be in ) Anyway, the second appointment is next week - that's when my dentist gets down to business I'm sure you'll be able to summon up courage Rita to make that call - think it was the thought that I might lose this painful tooth altogether that forced me into going eventually.....

Yes, great OS tonight, lovely vibe, lovely second Matt entering into the bizarre world of puns, pancakes and peculiar VTs. There were mighty fine thighs on show tonight (being everso slightly shallow, sorry) and first Matt looked tremendous in his OMAHD shirt....remember this, back in the heady days of last September?

Thanks to Lotus and SkyBlue for your kind thoughts re my Mum - sadly her back is causing her a lot of pain when she is moved but her eating and drinking are getting better. My friends and relatives see a marked improvement in her which is good!

Sorry to hear about your pooter probs Lotus - what a bore having to reset everything. Can understand why you used the Smilie!! It's wonderful you're back with us - it's very quiet on here nowadays but good to know we're amongst friends!

As you proberly know the last few weeks have been to put it bluntly awful

But things are looking up, Buddy is well on the way to recovery, Dad is now medically fit so will hopefully be discharged very soon!

Havnt seen TT for the last 3 weeks and wont see in the near future, have loads of overtime coming up, needs must im afraid,vets bill etc

Very good ratings for tos

Jenni and tim were great guest, both good and chatty, tim was having fun getting puns in, a really good show. Lovely to see penguins cams in the studio, the programme on monday was great.

Matt looked fab in his salmon jumper, happy bouncy matt tonight he was joining in the with puns as well.

Afternoon all! I'm back and can actually get to watch The One Show this evening I've seen pictures of the last few nights and have downloaded them so can watch / picspam later.

Haven't seen a rating for today anywhere as DIY SOS rated higher so the show wasn't the top rated "Factual Entertainment" show of the night. I suspect it was around the 4m mark...

And if anyone hasn't seen the news Prince Charles is to "guest edit" an episode of Countryfile marking the 25th anniversary of the show. When they showed Charles with Matt promoting Comic Relief I thought Matt was dressed a bit "Countryfile" so it was probably filmed whilst filming this episode. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-21446470

Welcome back kk. I was just about to say the same thing. DIY SOS got 4.3m so it must be less than that. I'm going to be more optimistic than you and guess at 4.2m We'll probably never know anyway. If you are a Coronation St. fan (as I am) the storylines are particularly good at the moment as everyone is waiting to see Kirsty get her comeuppance - that I think will be sometime in March. They're going to let Tyrone suffer for a while first Getting sidetracked there. That is to say Corrie will probably have dented The One Show ratings a bit more than usual.

I especially like the last one. Very nice.

The log cabin was because they were talking about coping in snowy conditions and cold weather with the doctor who goes on arctic expeditions . It did make for some nice pictures though.

I’ve done the Equality & Diversity workshop at work this morning and I then found out Bruce Willis, Albert Einstein and Richard Branson were among those had/have disabilities and Bruce has speech impairment disability. I didn’t know about that.

I watched the OS 31 Jan edition last night cos I missed half of the show when it was first aired. The guest was Rob Brydon and I found very interesting shot when Alex linked to Miranda Krestovnikoff’s VT about a rare blond hedgehog. Alex said, ‘he (the hedgehog) is impossibly cute but spiky'. Rob Brydon said, ‘Thank you’ so Matt went like this:

Hee…hee…it’s been 2 years on Rita, can you believe that? Today is two years on Matt has returned to the OS green sofa after winning the strictly tour with Aliona. So I do wonder if anyone has become less and less interested in the fabulous Baker boy and Aliona’s magical moments on strictly and have had new found favourites. The pics were from their first appearance on Srictly It Takes Two alongside Gav and Katys before they went off to Essex for CF Autumn Special.

Tonight's OS was a bit of a damp squib, Terence S (had a big crush on him as a young gel!!) was very ponderous, using un-PC words for a teatime prog and generally not the most lively guest they've had on! Matt looked great in his red jumper (AJ had a cute top with heart shaped on it) which was an important fact of the show, red being the significant colour for St Valentine's Day As the prog developed, Matt and Alex were obviously being advised to limit TS's air-time and also there was a rather cringey 'set up' for two Asd* workers to celebrate their romance. All in all not such a good OS as last year's Valentine special.......

So we face the usual hiatus in our MB viewing.....he's back on Sunday, I assume And thanks KK for the heads-up re the CF special, with Prince Charles, to be broadcast in March. It's obviously got the royal seal of approval

Morning all. A rating turned up for Wednesday's hour long One Show and it was The One Show (7pm, BBC1): 4.21m (18.1%). So Rita was right to be optimistic at 4.2m and I underestimated it at 4m

And the lunchtime repeat on Wednesday got 113K viewers (1.3% audience share). And that's probably still enough to justify using it there...
