Good morning

Ratings update time...

Countryfile: 7.1m
The One Show: 4.67m

As there hasn't been any updates on the ratings thread I found these on Attentional so I don't have percentage shares...

And a reminder for people who don't know - TV Times this week features an interview with Matt and Julia and if you're lucky enough to live in the south of England they're on the cover too. Sadly, here in the midlands I ended up with somebody from Emmerdale which isn't quite the same

Bit warmer here today so it's about time a short-sleeved polo top appeared on the One Show......as Lotus says, a woman can dream

Matt Lucas is on the show tonight.....again a recycled guest. Last time he was promoting his new show 'ML Awards' and I see the second series is starting soon. Surely he can't be promoting it again

But he will! And there'll be more Red Nose Day news and more comedians will appear this week I'm pretty sure. No news yet about the space hopper feat that Matt and Alex are supposed to be performing for RND - I reckon he'll be doing something completely different

Off to take in some fresh air and do some walking. Was going out earlier but I got distracted..... BIOB......

I was distracted from my constitutional as well. On the phone with daughter-in-law for an hour - just gossiping. I'm not going to go now. It looks cold and grey and nasty

Just catching up - way behind. Will the sun be out for CF filming on Friday, will the woolly hat/gloves/scarf will be consigned to Room 101

Bootiful and sunny here today - have mowed the lawn at last. Would have needed a goat if it had got any longer,

Fatskia - I do love visitors who bring a smile to my lips and rekindle joy in my heart - thanks for the memories of the Tangaw to end all tangaws.

Have yet to see the rest of CF

will have to put up the closed sign on Sunday evenings

SG - glad you enjoyed you evening remebering the 80's . Of course some of us are too young

Evening all

A lovely sunny day here too.

They didn't show last nights tos at lunch time today , they showed the best of tos, so i can't have a sneaky peek of matt during my lunch

A very good tos, matt L was a funny guest, good and chatty. Joining in with the micky taking with the end of the squirrel vt's

Great cake for matt L birthday

Matt looked fabulous tonight, nice denim shirt, which needed the top button undone, a very bouncy tiggery matt
some good chair lounging by matt, bless him trying to tidy up the newspaper and fold it up properly, bet someone was shouting in his ear to leave it the way he stop and lent back against the back of the chair

a busy day lotus well done on getting the lawn mowed, it will start going silly now it's warming up.

Must try and remember to get a tv times tomorrow, forgot about it today

Managed to do my walk today, managed to see CF again (well the most important MB parts) and managed a bit of me-time. Very unusual

Mr Lucas did indeed promote his show again....but he was very funny so I'll let him get away it

There was a random (even for the OS) segment about squirrels and Matt L went along with the madness.....

very impressed with you doing the lawn. I did it when OH was laid up with his leg and I rather put my back out

so I'm not keen to do it again!

Yes, I noticed today SkyBlue that the repeat of the OS wasn't the usual repeat. KK informed me that at the moment they are repeating the 2011 'Best of the OS' shows! So they are not exactly current! I'd rather see our Matt again at lunchtime than tons of VTs, thank you very much peeps at the Beeb

Well I'm half watching a thriller which is a bit far-fetched but will stick with it, so I'll CCM and say night night, don't let the bedbugs bite! :sleep: xx

Morning all. Another grey day. Will it ever end! Have to go out halfway up the Jura today for lunch and I don't really want to go. Grey weather does that to me

Husband of friend I'm lunching with has just won a huge financial prize for his work on the LHC and she is going to boast endlessly about it because she's like that

Ho hum. Must go and check who is on The One Show tonight as I didn't catch it yesterday - the announcement I mean, I did of course catch the show

It's Olivia Newton John and Billy Bragg on The One Show this evening. I doubt Matt will dress up as Olivia again

And last night's show got 5.01m viewers - so that was great

Maybe Matt Lucas is popular? I have checked as ITV Media have their website back and it also had a 23% share which means it was genuinely up. Emmerdale was down 3% last night from Monday's share so The One Show picked up viewers from that. It was the 5th most watched show of the day beating the news, Holby City, and the 9pm drama on BBC

The day before The One Show had a 21% show, and on Sunday Countryfile had a 28% share

Afternoon......CF and the OS are really flying at the moment

All power to Matt's elbow!

The producers must be extremely happy with the ratings thus far. Of course when the better weather comes along (nice today but it's back to colder weather tomorrow) numbers will drop but I expect everyone's rubbing their hands with glee at the moment!

Purchased my TV Times this morning, what lovely pictures of JB and MB with the cute lambs. It's what front covers are for

Will miss ONJ and BB tonight as I'm off to LesMis with my daughter. In the meantime, hope everybody is having a wonderful Wednesday.....enjoy your day

So after some complaining to TV Times magazine by mattbakerfans and other people they responded nicely by tweeting us the picture without all of the cover text

Brilliant rating for tos and being the 5th most watched prog of the day, Peeps my make fun of tos on some of the other treads, but i'm sure the powers that be are very happy with the ratings

It's Countryfile on the 10th of February which comes from North Cornwall. Matt was visiting St Nectan's Glen and Tintagel to discover more about Arthurian legends and learning the art of Cornish Wrestling too

(There was a lovely waterfall too but I don't think Matt fancied going for a dip in January

)

Did the wrestling photos kill people last night then?

The One Show got 4.16m viewers last night which is pretty good for a Wednesday show. Was a good programme as well - I liked the singalong from Billy and Olivia

Yes, that's not bad for a Wednesday. It was a good show. Wasn't Billy Bragg just lovely. I'd heard of him and seen his face but not seen him perform before. He's obviously a fan of Woodie Guthrie so knows his stuff where American folk music is concerned. Olivia I thought was okay. Preferred Billy's solo song to their duet myself. And a new shirt for Matt

. A nice one too, if a little unusual. I shall think of it as his karate shirt because that's what it reminded me of. He was looking great last night. Hair growing in nicely, stubble just right, and chirpy and tiggerish too. Matt perfection. Hope the shop he bought the shirt in sells waistcoats too

I'm watching and really enjoying The West Wing. It makes me think I'd like to be a social historian of the future. What a wealth of information they'll have to work with. West Wing is so warm, witty and intelligent. Vastly different from the type of politically inspired stuff that's come in since then, like 24 and Homeland, which are very good in their own way, but do not have the subtlety of West Wing. Shows the influence events have had on the thinking of the American conscience. I'm so glad I'm only up to episode 4 of the first series and have lots more to look forward to
