Hellaw! Happy New Year to all and sundry and hope your celebrations were as wonderful as mine.....
So I have emerged rather wet from the soggy floodplains of Oxfordshire to find hundreds of exotic and beautiful pictures adorning No.11. Going to be a month of Sundays before I can view all these superb pics of Mr B but it's going to be worth it....because he is! And as I've already seen from the comments, many of them are absolute scorchers Ta KK for your valiant efforts in bringing this superstar to our screens for our delectation and delight May need a stiff drink before I wade in, I have to be prepared for extreme thudding and it's probably time for the freezer to be plugged in again......I'm not sure whether I'll survive the onslaught ![]() Here goes.........

I'm still living in the past I'm afraid. Was going to skip the pics in post No. 3791 from thread 10 as I hate the shirt and trousers with a vengeance. But then I found this pic which cannot be passed over:
http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...24at104904.png And of course further investigation unturned another few worthy of note: http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...24at105749.png http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...24at110318.png http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...24at110338.png http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...24at114359.png http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...24at115247.png So it was definitely worth going backwards

You might want to make it into the yearly catch-up - there are 2 consecutive waistcoat days in December. And in one of them he looks like this: http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...02at222632.png

Well I'm determined to get through thread 10 pic spams even if it takes me the rest of 2013! I'll skip briefly through the remaining few though.
The shirt is definitely too buttoned-up in Post #3799. Not too sure about the colour either. A bit chocolatey (although it may be just the fact that I've eaten too much of this latterly). Anyway, I like these three very much: http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...26at165217.png http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...26at165239.png http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...26at165623.png |

I do it a bit at a time so the difference isn't too drastic. The place always looks a bit bare and sad otherwise until I get used to it again. Why is it though that decorations never fit neatly back into the boxes you took them out of? Do they grow once exposed to the light of day? |

I'd almost agree with that but I always like waistcoats to be done up. I think they look a bit unfinished when they're worn open, and buttoned up shows off the broad shoulders and slim waist. It's particularly effective if you undo the shirt buttons down to the top of the waistcoat

Good evening.....
Been an interesting day, clearing up my shed and finding millions of dead things (insects, I hasten to add), half-a-ton of cobwebs and lots of squashed items belonging to Daughter No. 2 Now there's lots of room for Christmas decorations to be stored. I've done the same as you Rita and Lotus, decorations have all come down today, just got the tree to disassemble and then that's it for another year Can't believe I nearly had a nervous breakdown in the lead-up to the festivities! Still we've all survived, and we've also had lovely large picspams from KK to keep us going.I'm up to August now (an achievement in itself ) and will valiantly soldier on, thudding as I go ![]() Looking forward to Sunday's CF....there will be 3 clips (very nice too) and we will all be sitting comfortably in front of our tellies on Monday night at 6.58 waiting for the man to appear What joy! ![]() In the meantime, this is one of my favourite pics..... http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...04at152151.png Isn't he just the most gorgeous man...... An early CCM from me as OH has prepared a snowball for me (remember that drink, from the dark ages ) and there's lots of tv to catch up on. So night night, sleep tight....... xx

Hello all
![]() I’ve been watching back strictly semi-final and finals from series 5 to 10. I then just noticed that in Series 8 and 9, the finalists had to perform 4 routines in the grand finale, 2 of which were new dances (showdance + the dance-not-yet-attempted by the finalists). The couples from rest of the series performed judges’ choice and their choice but they did not need to learn and perform a whole new routine like the finalists from Series 8 and 9 other than the showdance (plus side by side performance of Swing in Series 7). In Series 9, the couples performed 2 dances each in the quarter and semi-finals which was IMO a better format of splitting 4 dances evenly in 2 weeks. I’d prefer this format over that of Series 8 because learning and performing 2 new dances in a week plus to perform the test of talents and stamina Swing-a-thong in Semi-final was brutal. But then again; as the whole UK was in a big freeze in 2010, Matt and Aliona were stranded in Outer Hebrides during the quarter final week. They just managed to perform their jive in least amount of training hours to get through the semi-final so that splitting dance routines format wouldn’t have worked. Having watched back Aliona’s choreography and her dances with Matthew Cutler, I’ve observed that she reinvented the particular dance moves in her dance routines for her and the FBB. Examples - the spinning on the floor in Mattiona’s Quickstep, the dance moves on the floor in front of the judges’ desk in Mattiona’s Salsa, fancy footwork and spinning in Mattiona’s American Smooth were the reinvention of her and Matthew C dancing to Lily Allen’s song. Aliona leaping into Matt’s arms from the judges’ desk in their salsa and also the little jumps in Mattiona quickstep were also what she did with Matthew Cutler in 2 group dances. I liked her tango and quickstep she choreographed for her and Rev Wilding. Len suggested her ‘more-we-time and less-me-time’. I think she was like other pros girls; she did a bit of dancing alone to fill-in to look the rumba good which could have been seen as a bit of a new girl show-off in results. She did listen to him though apart from defending that it was because Rev was so strong and it was her jump rather than a lift in their tango. The quickstep was fast routine for fast music so riskier for Rev to nail it. Comparing to her 2 previous QS works for Matt and Rev, she did though a clever move choreographing QS for her and Harry as they danced quickly to the not too fast music, and he was in hold throughout the routine so less risk, and more changes to execute it well. I am not suggesting she didn’t do a clever move before. She was indeed brilliant enough to up against Artem’s choreography and his creativity which is why Series 8 still holds the highest ratings record according to wiki SCD 2010. Whilest some people demand to see the good old classic dances, and if somebody asked me whether or not I like to see the pure classic dance routines from every couple in every single dance in every single series, I’d say a big NO cos for me, there would be full of dull moments as watching the simplified and safer classic dances over and over again. It would be not be the light entertainment for me at all. Don’t mind to watch a few good ones but not always cos I am very picky and easily get bored... This year Strictly Christmas Special contestants looked not bad and I found Ola’s lucks with her partners interesting as she won the series with Chris, Strictly CiN Special with Harry and now Strictly Christmas special with BJ. Louis will be dancing with her on the live tour so she and Louis could turn out as the tour winners. Kimberley isn’t on tour, Denise and Dani might win some shows but they are no serious threat to dominate the whole live tour or are they? And I am so pleased that Matt was not in those bunch of the returning strictly celebs on the Christmas Special. What a chaos the celebs-pros group dance was. Wasted! Looking forward to see Horses and Dogs CF tomorrow, 3 clips of Matt, hope they did not cut the clips too short. I’d be disappointed otherwise. There will be a repeat of last week CF in the afternoon as well so all good for the Mattful day. Monday is the return of the FBB on the OS. Brilliant! I’ve talked too much… so off to dig out some pics to complete KK’s Photos Review 2012 to celebrate the Olympics London 2012: the Greatest Moments of Matt Baker. Hah…hah…Only joking! It might take time... Have a good weekend everyone! |

Just finished catching up KK’s photo review 2012 Matt looks so delightful, thanks for doing this KK. Quote:
It's August 2012 and the first 2 weeks were Olympicful. This did mean no One Show or Countryfile for the duration...
For Countryfile we just had the Summer Special - they had better weather for the Winter one! The One Show was back on the 13th of August and continued the Olympic theme. Then late in the month they tried out a Roadshow (which with hindsight appears to have been a trial run for 2 things - one hour shows on Wednesdays and being able to run the show as an outside broadcast which they needed for the Rickshaw Challenge) Matt was on Olympic commentating duties for the gym and presenting duties regularly between 11am-1:30pm. I didn't picspam these so much but there's lots of pictures from Emma available too if you look back in the last thread ![]() http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...07at215613.png The One Show August 2012 http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...18at214642.png http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...21at214631.png http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...08at221253.png http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...09at091436.png http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...09at091436.png Quote:
Onto September in our 2012 review and normal service was mostly resumed
![]() For Countryfile Matt was in Oxfordshire on a wildlife journey, visited the Furness Peninsula, went on a DH Lawrence inspired journey around Nottinghamshire, and went on a train journey near Lochaber This month was the start of the one hour One Show on Wednesdays and it seems to have established itself pretty well now. A highlight was Jackie Collins being flirtatious and the first waistcoat sighting in a while ![]() In addition this month we had live One Man and His Dog - well, one day was live! The other had to be recorded due to conflicting live events and was broadcast a week later http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...10at220216.png http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...21at134403.png http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...21at134545.png The One show September 2012 http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...ps28a91caf.png http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...ps945bae26.png http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...17at213740.png http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...26at213931.png One Man and His Dog September 2012 Episode 1 http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...27at213011.png http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...27at213327.png One Man and His Dog September 2012 Episode 2 http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...29at163633.png http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...29at164126.png Quote:
Moving on to October - I'm getting there eventually!
For Countryfile Matt was in Northumberland (wearing one of his worst Countryfile outfits since the dark days of early 2010 when his trousers were still baggy!), they visited Hampshire to show some historic natural history footage, went to Beachy Head, and explored Anglesey (and ate chips ) Matt missed the start of the month through illness but made it back for the Wednesday show on the 3rd. He then had a break later in the month too - getting in a holiday (in Oman…) before the Rickshaw Challenge which they announced this month. And in a milestone - I passed 200 One Show picspams during the month! http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...31at212824.png http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...31at214113.png I hate that tablecloth design check shirt and body-warmer but his has a lovely gorgeous face and looked warmly wrapped himself up. He didn’t seem to bother how he looked but I hate that outfits! His CF outfits from 2010 looked much better than this one. http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...13at215622.png Like this one so much as he looks seriously hot and sexy in his sun glasses, very rare to see him like that! http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...22at214001.png Love the jacket and the hat! I thought the colour of this furry hooded jacket was green and I eventually found out it is blue! http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...22at215609.png He looks having fun like a big kid! http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...24at173627.png I like to eat kiwi jam! The One Show October 2012 http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...04at212729.png http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...06at212836.png http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...08at214020.png I wish I was Al! ![]() http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...12at213655.png http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...20at214023.png Quote:
It's November now which was the month of the Rickshaw Challenge. And I've hit my limit of picspams so the last 3 days of November are just quick pics from each show
![]() For Countryfile Matt was in the Forest of Dean for Remembrance Sunday, and explored the Somerset coastline by train On The One Show the highlight was of course the Rickshaw Challenge ![]() Matt and Team Rickshaw also appeared on Children in Need to talk about the challenge and the money raised http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...11at213447.png http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...11at213556.png http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...11at213639.png http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...27at173132.png http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...27at173421.png http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...27at174510.png The One Show November 2012 http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...05at214031.png http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...12at213610.png http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...15at170650.png http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...15at171159.png http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...15at171248.png http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...18at214624.png http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...18at214826.png http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...19at213851.png http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...21at221412.png http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...23at215025.png http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...29at155856.png http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...29at160950.png Children in Need 2012 http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...16at213806.png http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...16at213853.png Quote:

Has anyone watched a game/quiz show the Britain’s Brightest Episode 1 hosted by Claire Bolding this evening? The mathematic bits were good fun to attempt, words I couldn’t manage well, and for the pictures puzzle I should have answered correctly but I failed to make a good guess cos I didn’t listen to the question properly. A picture puzzle is (WELCOME + beach/bay + red car) and the correct answer was (mat + bay + car) Matt Baker, the FBB! Great to see Aliona and Matthew Cutler dancing Paso double…what a fabulous and gorgeous dance but when I saw Matthew was standing while Aliona was dancing around him for a few seconds in their opening sequence, I was thinking …himmmm…if it was not Matt C but our Matt B, Craig would criticize that he did not actually dance in that moment, sadly…hah..hah… I know so well about Craig! ![]() Quote:
hellaw Emma & Evening all,
Scd would be very boring if they kept to strictly comes dancing the way len seems to like it at times with no invention from the couples dancing there is a happy medium with keeping to the dance and not putting extras in so you have no idea as to what they are dancing to. The power that be have liked to chop and changes things the last couple of years to get who they want into the final and who they want to win which is not always suscceful. He was a busy boy in july, great pics ![]() http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...14at220345.png http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...14at221238.png http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...15at213123.png http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...15at214638.png http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...01at114923.png http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...01at120142.png http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...01at120659.png http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...01at120716.png http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...29at215029.png http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...29at221405.png http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...31at220349.png http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...16at161259.png ![]()
