No, you're right, I shouldn't bother. Let them simmer away if it makes them happy. Probably need something to raise their blood pressure anyway

There will always be people who think Countryfile should just be about farming - they sometimes crop up here on DS too and as I pointed out for those people there's always "Farming Today". That airs every day on Radio 4 so there's no lack of commitment to farming on the BBC.
Countryfile is about the countryside and everything that happens within it - that's outdoor pursuits and all. It's not like it was just about farming on Sunday mornings either... We've all seen clips on Countrytracks from those days and you used to get Miriam surfing (badly
) and Ben Fogle being an action hero (equally badly
). Some people have rose-tinted glasses and seem to be remembering a show that never existed...

And I have learnt from Pete that such boats are made for speed not for stability, no wonder Matt felt the boat was a bit wobbly. If I didn’t get the chance to see the video form Henley that KK posted the link, I would have thought the last segment was a bit too rush as everything was squeezed in one segment. I’d have got the impression of Matt didn’t do that bits much otherwise. Julia’s a lucky-girl, she;s clearly fond of her little bro. Next week CF seems to promote more young-farmers! Ex-el presidente appears to have kept doing what he has been doing,
) Thanks KK for giving us some thudworthy pics yet again
There are only so many hours in a day....
