Hi Rita, obviously I'm still around but haven't been posting as much myself recently for various reasons. But, at least we are still around, the thread is active, and Matt is doing well. Imagine having been a follower of Gavin Henson and all you get to do is talk about him getting beat up by his own team-mate in a pub in Bath

Even though it was Mattless last night's Countryfile dominated the ratings - I think it was the only show that got more than 5m viewers all day!

And whilst it's disappointing that The One Show is off for 3 weeks (and comes back the week I will be abroad for work and have to miss 3 days) I think Matt and Alex need the break. I wonder if they will move studios during the break? The show is going to move to Great Portland Street from White City and I think that's supposed to happen by the end of the year

Afternoon

Is anyone interested to watch A-Z TV Gardening – Letter F tomorrow at 3pm on BBC2 if you are free? It’s a 45 mins show. Matt is in the list of presenters so we might get a chance to see him in a clip or two from Countryfile. I can’t think of any gardening clips begin with the letter F that Matt has done on CF. What could it be? Since it is F, I don’t think it’s going to be apple (Baker Delicious). I got to catch up on ipalyer. Here is the info:

I have to admit I liked Gav’s sincerity when he was on strictly. When I found most-of-celebs tended to hide/conceal what they actually felt, I saw him honest. He did say what he felt; no white lie or kept true feelings secret so I liked him for that. I hope he would find a way to redeem himself as he’s still have future.

I didn't know the move to Great Portland Street. Hope it is a good one. Wonder where would they air live OS CiN Special this year. BBC TVC is no longer a vanue, isn't it? And I have had an idea for Matt and Alex CiN challenge this year after watching a BBC program showing a chariot race in Wales. They can work as a team riding two bicycles which carries a barrel cut into a chariot shape. Pudsey bear can sit/stand there. Those participated in the chariot race in Wales did wear toga so why not Matt and Alex dress-up in toga.

Not sure it’s a good idea from H & S perspective but definitely challenging for them.

I tuned in a Mattless CF last night but couldn't recall a thing apart from a clip of dancing pony (3 mobile ad) cos I was busy washing up.

I am going to re-watch the OS episodes from 2011 Matt returning to the show. That’s my plan to get through the Mattfree weeks. Not bad, is it.

Just spotted this on the BBC website - http://www.bbc.co.uk/podcasts/series/country/all - it looks like they run a podcast for weekly updates from Ramblings and Open Country. The funny thing is they promote it with Matt's name and they haven't yet reposted any of his Open Country episodes. They know who attracts an audience though

And yes, The One Show is moving to New Broadcasting House - where it'll be based in a glass fronted ground floor studio. This will be open to visitors during the day as part of the BBC's commitment to opening up the area for education purposes - people will be able to see the studio being set up. White City is being closed too so it has to move by the end of the year...

It's the 5th of June on The One Show with guests Sharleen Spiteri (of the band Texas), Alex Kingston (actress - currently best known as River Song in Doctor Who), and author Philippa Gregory. It's a 59 minute show - must be about the last one. And by the way - the pics of Matt looking stunned are when they were talking to a guy who had been hit by lightning and "died"…

Matt is wearing a pale blue/grey striped shirt with jeans (and looking very nice - I was away this week so didn't see the episode and it was a nice surprise

Evening all

Hot and sunny again, which is great but it also brings out the moaner and whiners at work complaining that it too hot in the office and wanting the air con on something close to freezing a little too cold for my liking

The start of 3 mattless weeks, no tos. lets hope they both can get a good break away.

I might be able to see some of it, as I have the dentist in the afternoon and not going back to work after as I've got to have a tooth out as I broke one. so hopefully it wont take too long and i'll get back in time

Afternoon

Still hot weather dominating but how long it would last. Totally opposite to last year! Torch relay, the jubilee celebrations and the Olympics saw the wettest, soggy and blustery summer. But who knows somebody might still love to put the layers on in this hot summer.

I followed the link KK. There is no Matt’s Open Country episode available on the web page yet his name is there. That’s amazing, isn’t it! I really love listening to his Open Country episodes (many thanks to you of course). I listen to them when I go for a walk or before I sleep. Wonderful! I wish he would have an opportunity to do his own TV version of OC types even in a miniseries. I can only dream!

Would it be great stalking opportunities when the OS moved to a new studio? I do like the White City Studio and the outdoor settings though.

Mainly sunny today, it's has now clouded over and is quite humid, doubt will get a storm to clear the air.

Watch tos best of as there was nothing else on, mainly just a clip show with a tiny bit of chatting in between clips it was ok but nothing like our normal tos

Matt in close-ups proved that he’s cute and really gorgeous without the fake tans, make-up, hairspray and stubble. Very natural! Hee...hee...The clip also features a bit of cooking, eating and drinking.

Afternoon

I watched back CF Cumbrian Mountains episode yesterday which was soooooo worthwhile to fix a Mattless evening. Nice to see him on the back of the horse but I really, really want to see Mr Baker in action like there

I wouldn’t want to drink or even have a sip of spring water which contains high level of hydrogen sulphide. Said it’s like saline so I do wonder what the pH measurement was. Hope it's closer to 7. Matt was clearly gave it a go. Shame Julia wasn’t there with him to share his very own Matt Baker Ale. And He was far too cheeky when he said ‘this is my job; it’s rock-hard’ and the way he laughing at the end made me believed that he got slightly drunk. Seemed he enjoyed the beer. That must be one of the reasons of him having FBB (famous baker belly).

Hope he won’t double-size it. Ha…ha…And I think a pair of bare feet on CF and those on OS opening credit in toga look the same cos toes are exactly the same.

A Mattless week is nearly over. Hurray! But I fear that we are very likely to have 3 Mattfree CF episodes, won’t we? Ok, he deserves a nice break. I know. So get myself ready for OMAHD and World Gymnastics Championships.

I was multi-tasking - capturing to linking the pics here during my launch. I normally took few minutes for editing especially when I saw annoying-green-ads-on but I was really busy so got to straight back to work. It’s very typical and of course it’s already been far too late now. He would probably be chuckling if he saw it, won't he.

It's The One Show from the 10th of June (and I'm not catching up very well, even though Matt is on holiday!) and the guest was Mark Owen from Take That.

Matt was wearing a nice lemon shirt but decided to wear a tight grey cardigan over the top of it, and jeans. This was the episode in which jokes were made about covering up stomachs

Hi SG, no problem at all. You can share with anyone even without letting me know but everyone probably has already seen it when I posted last year before the Olympics. I think BBC Sport updated the title to keep encouraging the youngsters. My colleague’s 2 little boys 7 and 9 are now in the British squad as junior gymnasts. Lovely to see you back by the way. Hope you had a relaxing holiday.

Matt was in the reflective mode when he visited the Deerness Gymnastics Academy. He might have been thinking about his childhood when he won the junior championships.

Thanks KK. I too like his indigo shirt. Other pink and light blue stripy shirts aren’t bad either cos nicely fitted on him showing the strength of his upper body.
