Evening all

A nice sunny day here and we had matt in a jacket and cakes, sadly matt didn't get to eat any of the cakes during tos
Bet he got his hands on a few after, sounds like they are looking for a new cooker at the baker house.

Paul was a good guest, looking very tanned, he got to taste the cakes , didn't seem to chat to him much
or I was distracted by someone else on the sofas,

matt was looking good in his blue jacket and white shirt, the razor been staying in the cabinet

Carrying on with Countryfile picspams as The One Show took it's summer break - it's the 28th of July and it's Countryfile's 25th anniversary show. There's a couple of familiar faces (other than Matt!) in the crowd here too

And Matt gets to deal with the art and food related subjects which I'm sure he enjoyed

Morning all. Rating for last night's show 19:00 - The One Show: 3.25m (19.2%). Pretty good going - but the phenomenon of the night was Great British Bake Off with 5.6m viewers!

Evening all

Thud, thud and thud again, a stunning looking matt tonight, absolutely fabulous, no jacket, jumper or cardie, a lovely shirt with rolled and sleeved showing off lovely tanned arms

thud and unbuttonage, they got to eat pizza for a link to a vt, A very happy bouncy matt full of beans

it's a keeper of a tos for a gawgus matt

Beverley was a fab guest, great fun and a good laugh joining in with the madness that is tos, she seem s to have a great sense of humour. She'll be great in the bodyguard. Matt's never seen Bodyguard ,it's a ok film. but will mrs b make him watch it now

Evening all

Matt was jacket and jumper free, but all buttoned up, bonus standing up views a very happy bouncy matt

Shane was a good guest, he was having a good laugh on tos with matt and alex, the guy on there doing the drawing was a tiny bit barking, saying that if he a to draw matt and the animal he reminds him of is a polarbear looks cuddly with a strong hand shake

And now on to The One Show on the 5th of August when it returned from it's summer break. The guest was Mark Wahlberg promoting his new movie "2 Guns". Mark was one of the good American guests who got into the flow of the show and engaged with the stories being discussed - he also played basketball at the end

What a great OS tonight, a fine and interesting guest (Shane) and some great banter throughout the programme. And how funny to hear the 'eccentric' illustrator liken Matt to a polar bear

How very apt considering Matt's previous encounter with a polar bear albeit a toy one

Lovely pictures from KK and Emma recently - a big thank you and I'm sure I speak for many Matt admirers!

The first Gok Wan show is one I'm still trying to figure out how to get off my TV HD onto a more flexible and permanent storage. I still remember the suit, and the embarrassment at Gok Wan's comments. Definitely one to keep for me

It's the 6th of August on The One Show (I was on my way to France and didn't see this…) with guest Steve Coogan promoting the Alan Partridge move (Alpha Papa). The show wisely got the jokes in ahead of the general public's comments by comparing themselves to Alan Partridge

(Complete with Alex's comment "Matt Baker must be Alan Partridge's arch-enemy. He must want to kill him every night" followed by saying presenting with Alan wouldn't be that dissimilar

It's the 7th of August and The One Show comes live from the beach at Weston Super Mare for their first roadshow of the summer. The guest was Rhod Gilbert, but who cares because Matt was wearing shorts

(Bonus bakerettes in crowd too!).

Matt was wearing a purple Ralph Lauren polo shirt (I'm advertising it to make up for the fact that the BBC felt the need to cover up the logo with a starfish badge

Straight on to the 12th of August on The One Show where the guests were the host of "That Puppet Gameshow" Dougie Colon (a puppet…) and David Walliams. Great little sketch at the beginning with Dougie trying to steal Matt's job

. And later on Alex did ask David if his next sporting challenge would involve him snogging Matt again

It's the 13th of August on The One Show and the guest was Will Young to talk about the tour of Cabaret. There was a joke about Will & Alex wearing novelty jumpers - Will asked if Matt didn't get the memo and he replied "Well… you don't know what pants I'm wearing. I didn't realise it was just jumpers". Will's reply was "get em off, get em off!"
