Hello I am not going to watch SCD live tonight cos I am getting less and less interested in the show and I know I would be missing the FBB’s dancing so badly if I do. I’ll catch up on iplayer to see who got who and which couple can actually draw my attention and warm me. Not necessarily to be a favourite as I am far too picky. Best of luck to Aliona and whoever she would get partnered with. ![]() Quote:
I don't know if Matt visits, but I know his mum did/does

by the way sorry for being AWOL for ages........just not enough hours in the day to keep up with here and twitter
good to see Aliona back unexpectedly was thinking it wouldn't be quite the same without her but not sure she'll be around for long distinctly underwhelmed by it all so far but I'm fighting it. Must be positive. No-one will ever match Matt but hey ho.....I got Rachel in the sweepstake but her laugh is annoying me already so I'm rooting for Sophie ....I think ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh its good to be back

Jumps up and waves. Havent been on here for ages- aplogises profusley but OH's health and a busy working schedule got in the way - but am now in the non working category so hopefully may have a bit more spare time.
Was distinctly underwhelmed by the launch show but have a feeling we may have another inspirational female to well "inspire us" I have to admit I'm tempted to do that as he's the one pro dancer I don't like ![]() They definitely want a female winner this year - pairing up the 2 likely male celebs with maybe not the best partners. I think Ola is a limited choreographer and that can hurt Ashley, and whilst I've started to like Kristina that's a big height difference between her and Ben... And on topic - Countryfile tomorrow with Matt being artistic

And welcome back beemail . Nice of you to turn up as I complete a picspam from your area of the world ![]() ![]() we had a great time at Gateshead but I can assure you...it was ALOT less warm than at Weston Supermare! It was FREEZING! there were 5 of us there and we got a great view but as we were positioned right behind the main camera (which didn't move much this time) you won't have seen us on the show I don't think. The actual roadshow wasn't as busy and didn't seem as vibrant as the other one but I think the beach location and weather combined made the first one a winner. Still good tho. Sally also got a good close-up eyeful of Iwans tattoos which made her happy ![]() We only got a very quick meeting with Matt right at the end but (as always) he recognised us immediately and gave us a few precious seconds which meant a lot as he was being rushed along and everyone (and I mean EVERYONE) wanted him. He seemed very pleased to see us again which always makes me happy as I believe its genuine He kept saying how freezing cold he was and how they hadn't expected it as it was warm earlier. He looked a bit tired to me but obviously happy to be home ![]() speaking of which.........at one point Ma & Pa B were standing right behind us we were behaving ourselves at that point I believe (I hope........). Mum disappeared soon after but dad stuck around and watched the show and appeared to be waiting for Matt probs to give him a lift home. I wondered if Alex might've got to stay the night on the farm? lucky girl if she did ![]() Matt was his usual fidgety self and did quite a bit of dashing from one place to another in the rehersal period due to filming the bit on the bridge. AJ is very calm and very very patient it seems as she seems to do quite a bit of waiting around. so....brief little reportlet but I'll drop in any other details I remember. oh....I can back up KK a bit on the belly thing. Theres nothing there! or at least not much....what he does have is crap posture when sitting down. Standing up he's like a greyhound. Not for want of trying though - you should have seen him off camera when the dinner ladies had their food out should've just got him a nosebag.....at least that way he wouldn't have gravy stains on his jeans ...... and you should see the state of the green sofa up close! disgraceful...my nan would sort that out with a bottle of vanish in no time *EDIT* hahaha got my first telling off for too many smileys since my return.......................*sigh* I truly am home ![]() (sneaked that one under the bar) |

I just assumed he'd been throwing coffee over himself again! He was stuffing his face enough on camera and I'm not surprised that continued offscreen... And the posture thing - I do sometimes wonder if his back plays up sometimes as a result of the breaks he suffered when thrown from the horse. If that sofa is as uncomfortable as it looks then it might not help someone with a back problem... |

I know from someone's tweets that Matt and Alex did stay up north after the show because someone commented about meeting them on the train on the way back to London the next morning. I think it'd be nice if Alex did get to stay at the farm rather than a soulless hotel...

They really do seem to get on well.don't know why he slouches so much. For someone who carries himself so well upright its strange how bad his posture is sitting down. He never sits still for long tho - if you look he's constantly changing position and shifting. True that sofa doesn't look comfy and doesn't have any back support but doesn't have to sit there for that long. To be honest.......I think its just him. He's never still and thats the way he is. |

I find myself reading this thread at 5.30am. Can't sleep so am mooching around for a bit. Reading the Daily Mail report on SCD, checking out a few diff threads, watching rubbish on TV...all signs of being sleep distracted. I enjoyed the show last night. Thought Ashley looked OK. Ola looked pleased. She could to be a winner agin this year if he continues to improve? Feeling a bit sorry for Aliona. Am hoping Ben will loosen up on the dance floor. This time 3 years ago it became pretty obvious that Gavin couldn't dance. Hope Ben does better.

don't want us falling off the bottom of the page Hello RotatingRabbit glad you enjoyed the show. I still haven't seen it but doesn't stop me being opinionated about it hehe......... just made the mistake of poking my head over the wall for a look outside and the bitchfest has started all over .......dear me. What on earth would these people have had to talk about if Aliona hadn't come back? and STILL won't let it lie that M&AV were more than friends ![]() ![]() should have known better, schoolgirl error. 2 hours to go.....

Hello, hello. Keep getting distracted every time I decide to pop in here so thought I'd make a determined effort. Nice to see some oldtimers (if you'll excuse the expression
) back - and a newcomer. Hello to you Rotating Rabbit![]() I didn't watch the launch show (diverted by tennis) and have no idea who's on this year. Is it worth my while heading for iplayer? I have quite a lot of catching up to do I think so will make a start. See you later. |

I understand that because I can't stand James Jordan or Anton du Beke for similar reasons and I know lots of people like them I'll be honest though - I'm a bit in the middle with Aliona. I appreciate that her personality bought out some sides of Matt that some people hadn't seen before. At the same time I thought about half of the routines they did could have been choreographed better by another pro. Unlike some people, I don't think he'd have won with any other pro though. The Kara & Artem story just went over too well with the public and the injury on the night of the final probably won over the new voters. And Kara was a good dancer whose routines looked good on TV (maybe less so in a big arena so Matt deservedly won the tour with his bigger crowd pleasing numbers). And as for the rumours - I'm not sure Matt is remotely Aliona's type anyway so I just find those stories hilarious

And a random thought - Matt's new collie pup. Given the age (11 weeks old now) I'd guess he picked it up whilst up north. I wonder if its a descendant of Meg? And I wonder when it'll be making its first appearance on Countryfile (maybe still too young for when they show One Man and His Dog on the show...)

![]() I'm about to delve into about 500 picspams I've missed. I'm not going to bore everyone to death by giving my opinion on all of them, but you do know I'm sure kk that I am looking at them and appreciating them. I'll report back (assuming I'm still upright and in a position to do so) on any I find especially stimulating
